I presently have a t2i with the kit lenses. I'm looking to up grade to a refurbished 70 D and a EF 70-300 usm. total about $1131.00. Any ideas or suggestions. Also looking to get an L lense of some type a little later. Thanks for any help or ideas.
WELL, does anybody remember when Obama said he was going to fundamentally change the country, WELL
Did anyone see Fox News when Dr. Ben Carson was asked what Obamas goal was. And Dr. Carson stated "that Obamas goal was to destroy this country", and he has done a pretty good job of it. Well I'm still going up grade from my T2i to a 70D before its too late.
Any one have the Canon 70d and what do you like and dislike about it. What lense do you like with it. I have the T3i now and would like an upgrade and the 70d looks like the one.
I was watching a program on photography and the fellow showed how to turn a telephoto lens into a macro lens. Its actually fun to play with. I have a Canon t2i with a EFS 55-250mm and you can take the lens off the body and turn it around and hold it up to the camera body and take a picture. You don't have auto focus because the contacts are no longer touching so you have manually move in and out to focus. You have a very shallow depth of field but its an interesting process. He also say they make an adopters just for this. I hope I can down load the photos to come out right.
I've had trouble getting a good shot of the moon. When I first got my T2i I went out and took a photo of the moon and it came pretty good. I have not been able to get a good clear shot of the moon since. I did some research on my T2i and my EPS 55-250 IS and figured out it wasn't the camera, its was me. After making some adjustment and giving it another try it came out pretty good after a little adjusting with Picasa.
F7.1
ISO 100
S speed 1/250
Auto focus off
I thinking about getting a Celestron SE 6 telescope for viewing the night sky. I have a Cannon t2i and have seen video set up of a t3i set up on a SE6 telescope. Has anyone used their camera and telescope to photograph the night sky or moon?
I have a t2i and is a good camera but I'm not real thrilled with image quality. I have to go to Picasa to clean up and improve image quality. How is the t5i for image quality? For the price of these cameras you wouldthink image quality would be great. Any ideas.
I had the same problem. When I got my t2i I set it up one night right after I got and took a picture of the moon with the standard lens. When I zoomed in on the picture and cropped it it came out much better than I expected. It came out very clear and detailed. A couple of nights later I did the same thing but I think when I was trying to focus the image I think I may have tried to manually focus it auto mode. It will still auto focus but I have not been able to get a good clear detail picture of the moon. Any ideas?

Great color and it fantastic that you had enough time to catch the hummingbirds before they disappeared.
Great prospective and color, WTG
G, you can use a high f stop which will keep the shutter open longer and move the camera around. My step-son and the Christmas that would rotate, and when I did a long exposure it look like it had light rings around it.
I used a pen light with the lens off and only the small blub shining and would spin around.
Playing around with the camera on Halloween night.
Some pictures on Halloween. Some ghostly images.
I found it in the yard while cutting the grass in south central NC. Took it to our church school to show the kids and they were amazed. It turns out to be a Luna Moth. I put it in a cup to take to school and within a day or so it had already spun a cocoon. Your never to old to learn.
