Thanks to jeep daddy for the phone number. Epson does not seem to put that on their website.
For anyone else that may have this issue with Macs that do not have a disk drive and have mac OS Mojave. On the Epson support page for printers put in Artisan 1430 and where it asks for the operating system use 10.13x NOT Mojave. This will give you a download of 15637.dmg. This will work just fine.
I just changed internet providers and have a new modem. I need to connect my iMac to an Epson 1430 printer via WIFI. Epson wants me to install the setup with their CD and use a USB cable, however I have no CD drive . Have looked extensively on the Epson Support Site for a way but found nothing. Anyone know how to do this or if Epson does have a way to download the procedure.
There is a program called Quick Resizer available in the App Store. It works very well.
A few days ago I received some info from Red River Paper. They were listing the papers to use with this printer but also stated they were doing an evaluation of it. That evaluation should be available very shortly. Their first impressions of the Epson 800 seemed positive.
I have the 1430 and had it in storage for a year while we moved. Put it back in service after doing a nozzle check and had no problems at all. Over the time I have had this printer it has given me no problems at all.
Just an update. I have tried working with this program, BUT. There are some things I like very much, however, my experience has been that it will freeze the computer and/or enter an endless circle. I hope that they will continue to work on it and solve the bug problems.
The latest issue (November) of Mac Life magazine has a review of the Mac only program, Emulsion, which claims to do many of the same things Lightroom can do. It has, or will have, support for Aperture and iPhoto. The cost is $50 in the app store but the developer web site (The Escapers Consultancy, emulsionapp.com) has a 30 day free trial. May be of interest and worth a look at for those of use still using Aperture. I just downloaded it but have not yet evaluated its potential. :?:
