Duplicated layer and selected the clouds. Did some minor level adjustments to the clouds to bring out the contrast. Inverted the selection and did a levels adjustment for the on the foreground. On both adjustments I mostly used the midrange slider. I did do a little feathering of the clouds along the top of the mountains using the clone tool at a very low opacity and flow.

Basically I just selected the background and decreased the exposure on it and increased the exposure on the foreground. The reason I wanted to play with this one is I just downloaded and installed Affinity and decided to see what I could do with it. It was fun
