They are the wrench handles for thread dies. Larger dies of probably 1/2” and up steel pipe or round bar. The die drops into the round part and the ratchet controlled the direction. I guess you did not find any of the actual dies.

Exactly what they are. Model numbers tell me they a mfg. by Ridgid tool. There was at one time a competitor that used used a

Similar numbering system

Just a snapshot from the 9th floor of New York Presbyterian Hospital, lung transplant center. Came down last Wednesday with multiple problems. After almost 8 years the left lung is down to about 10% capacity and my right lung, my transplanted lung is in chronic rejection. How long ? No way to know. Just have to follow the numbers down.

Quick snap of river and bridge. Will be NYPresbyterian hospital for the next few day. My breathing numbers have take a dramatic fall over the last few

days. Doctors will be trying to find cause and bring numbers up to levels I can survive with.

The handle is 3/4 schedule 40 PVC (thicker wall than the usual schedule 20), pretty tough stuff.
I have not tested the rig with any weight in the backpack yet, just finished it this morning.
I will find out if the plastic holds up when I load it up.
Conduit would add a lot of weight.

If it snaps, skip the big box store and find an industrial piping distributor. Ask for sch. 80 or if they have it sch. 160 if available.
Since you are not using for piping system your good to go. Or go to 1”. more torsional strength. Tidbit, on piping products the outside diameter remains the same while the inside diameter is reduced to provide the required wall thickness.

I know that the commercial was made by a Japanese company, but I am not comfortable with the stereotype. Am alone with this thought?

Probably.

Nothing good came out that war. Doctors said I am one affected by agent orange, Prostate cancer. Around a lot of aircraft that dropped the stuff. I think I am fine now, will keep getting checkups the rest of my life.

Lung cancer, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer and Type. II diabetes. Plus high this, low that. I knew that brown shit dripping off the trees wasn’t Geritol.

Ah, the P38, I have one on my key ring and another still on my dog tags. One from basic, my first c-rat meal and one from a case of c-rats opened on a mountain top outpost outside Qui Nhon. Didn't mark which is which but they both bring back the memories.
My wife and daughter were fascinated the first time they saw me use one of them. Esp since I got my can open before they could mount the "super duper miracle opener" and get a can open.

And as to my dog tags, wrong blood type, if I had been wounded and they went by the tags I would have been in trouble. Seems I have an odd ball sub-type of "A" that the simple quick test will read as "AB". And the Army used that simple quick test when I was processed. I didn't find out about that until I was in for surgery and the hospital did a full spectrum blood workup. The nurse was going over a pre-surgery check list and I told her my Army dog tags had said AB, not A. After the surgery the doctor told me they double checked and found the information about the simple test problem for people with my sub-type of A. He also informed me the military no longer used that old test that gave the false reading.
Ah, the P38, I have one on my key ring and another... (show quote)

Cool to hear another story. I still use mine when my wife buys those little cans of tomato paste. Electric can opener can’t grip it.
My jungle fatigue shirt in my closet, awards and medals in a box in a dresser draw and my boots with VN red dust and blood on them are in a small museums’ display.

My youngest daughter wore my dog tags to school from Seventh grade until graduation. She did so out of her respect for me. They were also cool. She thought the P38 hanging with them ,was in her words, “outrageous “.
