Thanks for all the suggestions. I found that I can open the NEF's with Capture NX-D and then move them on to Capture NX-2 which is an extra step. I have used NX-2 for years and don't care much for Adobe Photoshop with all the layers etc.

I also have the On1 Photo Raw 2018 software which I can use to open the images and I can brush up on that.

Thank you all!

I just purchased a D750 with a 24-70mm lens. I usually use Capture NX-2 for post processing my raw capture photos. CNX-2 has not updated their software to accommodate the D750 and probably won't. Are there any other D750 owners using CNX-2 that have found a way around this problem? I know one can open the images with CNX-D and then transfer over to open those images with CNX-2 but it is kind of a pain in the rear. I read that an earlier version of CNX-2 would open the images but I am using version 2.4.7 . Maybe I could uninstall version 2.4.7 and down load an older version that would work but it would be nice to know what version may work.

I'm using an iMac.

I’m looking at buying a Sony a7R111 camera which is a 42 MP camera. I’ve been using a Nikon with 24 MP. I’m concerned about what affect it may have on my computer capacity. I do shoot raw and the files would be quite large.

I am using an iMac with 32 Gig. ram, & Intel I-7. I would like to know if switching to a Sony camera with 42 MG would require more computer capacity. I don’t want to have to rebuild my computer if I switch to the Sony. I have access to the Cloud and an external hard drive for storage.

I’m not up to speed on computers.

Thanks....

What focus are you using, spot or matrix? If you are using spot it could easily change if you didn't find the same point of focus on the 2nd shot.

I have had the Epson 3880 for about 3 years, it has been an excellent printer. I have never had to start a print over if the ink runs out, it will stop, you just slip in another cartridge and off it goes. Of course you have to have another cartridge on hand. It's always good to read the manual isn't it?

The guy is dumber than a post, he has called here at least 20 times over the past several years. You tell him you don't use Windows and he keeps calling back. You can be rude and tell him off and he still calls again.

Microsoft will NEVER call you about a Windows problem!

May I ask how you set up your zoom lens to use Lens -Align? Did you align with no zoom or fully zoomed? I have a Lens- Align but from what I read it didn't sound like aligning a zoom was really encouraged. The demo video I watched was using a fixed lens.

Glad you were successful in getting your's aligned.

I played with your 1st photo a bit using Capture NX2. I adjusted the histogram by pulling the black and white ends in to the edges of the histogram. Then I opened Levels & Curves and adjusted the individual Red, Green & Blue channels by pulling those to the edges of the histogram. Next I adjusted the Color Balance feature lightening the Green & Blue colors. Turned out reasonably well considering it's a thumbnail image. Only took a couple of minutes....

Not sure where you did the processing? Sounds like you used NX2 to download and then uploaded NEFs to Picass for the processing? Is that right? I did not know that Picassa would process RAW. If so and you used Picassa to edit the NEFs, then the Nikon software won't be able to read it after that. You will have to use the Picassa software to covert the files to JPEGs.

Normally in processing RAW files one processes the RAW files using one's own computer and software and the conversion to JPEG is made using that software. THEN the JPEG files are uploaded to sharing sites such as Picassa, Costco, Facebook etc.

I post process my NEF files and then use the Batch Process of Capture NX2 to convert to JPEGs. I place a folder within the Raw images folder for the JPEGs. I always keep the original Raw images. Then one can drag or copy the JPEGs to any other folder or processing software desired.
