I recently purchased the Sony 600mm f4 lens and quickly fell in love with it. The detail this lens is capable of rendering is simply astounding. I made a video highlighting some of my first captures with the lens. Enjoy!

I watch your videos regularly and highly recommend them to all. I am in awe of the quality you achieve and this lens/camera combination seems outstanding. Thanks so much!

On a Sony we have DMF an auto focus with manual override so to speak. I have the auto part assigned as BBF.works super.

Can you provide more detail on this setup? I have a Sony a6000 and a6300 and would like to try it.

Thanks,

Jerry,
From your description, I would guess that you have the ISO file mounted in the VM and it cannot be found. If you have a properly working Windows 10 VM, close it down and edit the VM settings to unmount the VM, then restart the VM. You should no longer receive the error message. I hope this works for you.

Donn

I installed Virtual Box on my Macbook Pro and then installed Win10 from an ISO on a disk. I was then able to install and run WordPerfect. But there's a quirk. When I start VirtualBox, I get a warning that the Windows.iso file is not accessible, and I might have problems. After seeing that warning, I copied the 3.2GB file to the Desktop and ran VB again and got the same warning. After I click to start VB, I get a second similar warning about the missing Windows.iso, although it is on the Desktop. When the Windows.iso CD was in the computer, I didn't get the warnings.

From everything I've read, having the iso file accessible isn't necessary. VirtualBox and Win10 seem to run okay, so what's going on with the "missing" Windows.iso file?

I just preordered this app for a good discount. It promises to improve Lightroom for me. I hope it does for you. You may use my referral link below, or go straight to the site, but 40% off pre-release is a good deal for everyone.

Anybody have and use the sony 18-105 and how do you like it. If i buy one i will use it on my a6000

I have this lens and use it with the Sony a6000. The lens is designed for a crop sensor camera like the a6000. It stays on my camera most of the time. Although a bit long, sharpness is excellent and the zoom range is very useful for a walking around lens. It is also very useful for video with the quiet motorized zoom. I highly recommend it.

I agree. I have tried many different remote releases with different cameras, and short of a wired release, the Vello is the most reliable and useful. I use the Vello with my D600 and Sony a6000 using the appropriate cable. It is a little bulky and I wish it would work without the dangling cable, but it is a good compromise.

I tried using the hot shoe cover on the first SLR that I ever owned. I think I used it for about 2 days, then got tired of taking it off, putting it back on, and misplacing it. Haven't used one since. (About 35 years).

Same here. I'm sure I have a drawer full of them somewhere. Wish I knew where, I would send them to you.

There was a recent discussion about certain internet celebrities like Jared Polin and Ken Rockwell and the usefulness of their information, personalities, etc. In that light, I thought I should suggest one of my favorite sites/personalities:

http://www.joshuacripps.com/

He is extremely well informed and has a great sense of humor. After watching several of his videos, I also realized how prepared and polished he is. You may or may not like his sense of humor, but you will like his information. Try his site or look him up on YouTube.

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear. The price was $734 which reflected a $185 discount. I have never seen it priced so low.

I'd bet you are going to love your new 105mm, my favorite. I suggest a good quality clear filter as the glass is close to the edge of the lens body.

I appreciate the suggestion. I got a B+W MRC UV filter for it. Can't beat B+W.
