How about a cake so "loosely baked" that it crumbles at being touched. Could be red on inside representing fire and covered with chocolate on the outside representing mud and dirt. Leave a crack on one side so the "firery center" can be seen.
Or a 1/2 inch tall cake designed with a replica of the Mayan calendar with one piece missing.
A variation could be just a regular "calendar cake" with dates on up until Dec. 21...the corner of the cake missing from that point on.
Car owner might have been happier if tree had hit car from the looks of the left rear of the vehicle.
I'm not normally a skeptic...but really I don't think they "installed a camera"...unless that camera has robotic legs and can "zoom" on it's own...Kinda believe that this was a setup with a dog trained to "slide for life & doggie biscuits"...just a little too contrived to just be an "installed" camera...
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER $100. 2.00 PER TICKET FOR 500 TICKETS IS $1000. HE GAVE WINNER $2.00 BACK. SAID LEFT HIM A PROFIT OF $898. WHERE IS THE OTHER $100.
(TAXES OR IN BOX IN BACK YARD)
(OOOOPPPPSSSS) NO WONDER THE GOVERNMENT KEEPS WONDERING WHY I SEND THEM SO MUCH MONEY...GONNA HAVE TO START COUNTIN' THEM "INVESTMENT" EXPENSES....
I was overwhelmed at the wonderful capture of all the shades of green (from the darkest to the lightest). Plus the enhancement of the "art" with the muted browns accentuated by brilliant whites in juxtiposition with the angular composition of the entire piece. What an amazing touch for all of us who strive to express our feelings through photography. You have gone above and beyond in reaching into our souls and tearing from each of the respondents a bit of visual acuity that we have hidden from even our own selves. This selfless act of displaying your F-stops and Shutter Speeds to the masses should be celebrated by all. I hope you will continue your quest for truth in digital. And I for one salute you.
The margerine that you colored also came in a one pound plastic package. The margerine was solid white and looked like lard but in the center of the package was a red liquid dot. To color the "butter" you pressed on the dot until it burst inside the package. Then you massaged the "white butter" until it was colored to a beautiful "buttery yellow".
Hey Sarge...
Whazzz up?
You are definitely the guru of UHH humor. Keep it UP.
I love it and eat it UP.
Thx Southern lady...glad to be part of UHH
I got it....I got it....I got it.... LOL
Oh yeah....this is the place to enjoy...I have been a silent participant for several months.
Thanks Granddad...how many grandchildren...I have 7...Glad to be part of the UHH community.
I think your original first pix impression was best. It does what you saw originally...conveys an emotion and put the photo in a definitive place. Without the "framing leaves" it is very abstract. The color also adds to the visual impact for me.
Thanks so much for your welcome. I am really delighted to be among the "best in the nation". Photographers who "tell it like it is" and don't mind being open with their comments and helpful to everyone who cares to ask. God bless you.
Nope. No relation to Mel Blanc although as a kid (which I still am) I enjoyed the Man of 1000 Voices and really admired his skill with all my favorite cartoon characters. I usually only use the Henri Blanc moniker when I'm in France but since UHH has such an international flavor I wanted to "reach across the waters". Thanks for the welcome. My stateside name is Henry White. I live at the "Whitehouse" where we always have a "White Christmas". I've seen some of the posts by Sarge, so I don't figger that I'm too far off base (and if I am it's your job as pitcher to pick me off). Really I am so excited to be a part of UHH. Again THANKS FOR THE WELCOME.
I have been reading and enjoying the UHH Forum for several months now. Love the level of comittment and honest support UHH members give. Hope to have some images to show soon. Was a wedding photographer for over 30 years. Dropped out about 12 years ago and haven't done much since.
Digital is about to open new vistas for me I think. Now using a Sony A65. Still lots of bells and whistles to get accustomed to using.
