what is happening to our country? these jobs were never intended to be a career. they were a place for someone to break into the job market and to prove theirselves to be honest, hardworking individuals who would act and dress appropriately. someone that could take direction and actually show up to work when they're scheduled. they were to provide you with a little money to get by while you looked for a real job. if it doesn't pay enough....then look for a better job.

I was just using that as an example. My main topic was the percentage system of pay increases. The person making the most already gets the largest increase. A clerk will get a miniscule increase while Biden will receive twice as much. Where's the justice in that?

Why is it so called intelligent people propose pay raises on a percentage basis? Are they just too lazy to take the time to break them down? A 2 percent increase for a person who needs it most is around a $1000 for a person making $50,000 while a person who doesn't need it making $250,000 would receive $5000. Does this make sense? That always amazed me when I was in the armed services? Lowly E3's would get maybe a $10.00 a month raise but a colonel or general would get a $1000. The one's that need it most never get it.
But I guess it's a good way to be seen as a nice gesture while stuffing your own pockets.

We have to stop thinking one person is at fault. That's what they want us to do. It's called misdirection....have the people blaming one guy..one face so they won't see the rest of us screwing them. It's all of them. Every incumbent needs voted out and term limits imposed. Check out warren buffet's suggestions.

The last time we faced the issue of taxation without representation resulted in the formation of our nation. Is this any different than what is happening now? We impeached a president for authorizing a criminal act yet our representatives blackmail each other every day. "You vote for my bill then I'll vote for yours!" We have corrupted our entire electoral process. Why does it take millions and millions of dollars to run a campaign? There should be limits imposed from the very beginning. Then special interest groups won't be needed. Each candidate will have the same press coverage, tv time etc. Level the playing field so an election can't be bought. Repeal all laws enacted without being voted on by the people. Our representatives should not have any benefits that we don't have. They are supposed to be our employees not our bosses. In 66 years I have never had the opportunity to tell my bosses I was going to increase my pay and benefits. It's ridiculous!

Warren Buffet has the best political philosophy I've heard in many years.

Come on America....we really have to do something. I don't know what but our government is out of control. They don't even care anymore how obvious their disregard for the taxpayers is anymore. While fighting over how much they're going increase our taxes, they take the freeze off their pay raises and increase their pay. How can supposedly moral people do that? They should all be recalled and impeached for gross violations of our trust and personal greed.
