I back up my photos to two external hard drives but considering a cloud back up as well. What if any cloud apps are you using and why? Can you view these photos and work on them as you can with an external drive? I use a Mac. I am wondering do I really need cloud since I do have them on two external hard drives? Of course if I lost my house due to a hurricane or fire then the HD's would be lost. Just thinking.
I use OnOne and do love the software. The On1 Raw is pretty much the same as LR except that you can do it all in On1 without jumping around.
set shutter speed to 250 and iso to 800. It worked great for me using a 500mm lens on my Nikon D90
I don't use the camera as much as I used to but I found the BBF annoying. Especially if you had the camera over to someone to take photos when I want to be in the picture. Always out of focus. I switched back and seem to like to old way better. I agree BBF is good, but just not for me.
Thanks to all who have replied. I do have two external harddrives and I am now going to save my photos and important documents on the second HD then turn it off. Agree if a house fire all would be lost but I guess that is the chance we take.
I back up my photos to an external HD and have been doing this for years. I am not a pro, don't sell photos, just like taking photos, looking any playing around with them in LR and PS and a few other plug-ins. Do I really need to save them elsewhere such as smugmg or cloud? I also have a 2nd external HD but don't really use it as a photo back-up. Just interested in opinions on the pros and cons of the new age of cyber backups. If I care to show off some photos I do use flickr.
I have the cannon pro100 and have been getting my ink from LDProducts.com. Good prices and the ink works great. I have had no problems, so check them out.
I also have a cannon printer and switch to the icc profile for the paper I am using and that will turn off color management.
I use an app called "photo transfer app" and it works great. I downloaded it to my computer, my iphone and my wife's iphone. I have no complaints
.
I have an IMac and the scanner I use is an Epson Perfection V500 Photo and works great
I use "My Book Studio for Mac" by Western Digital. Have used them for several years and never a problem.
I use a mac, OS X Yosemite, have two external hard drives,
I am now using CC but still have photoshop 5 and lightroom 5 on my HD. Should I move these apps to an external drive incase I decide to stop using CC? What have others done?
Don't know yet as I am in the process of sending them. They provide you with shipping labels, box etc. Makes it easy.
