I'm not really interested in making any serious videos, but I'd love to find an easy online video editor for clipping some of my trail camera videos. They're usually 30 seconds long, and often I only want to keep the first 5-10 seconds of it. There are so many size restrictions on sending videos, and this would make a lot more of them available for sharing with others. So I just want to clip and save.
Thanks

Great pics Tom. You are most certainly the KING of the Collembola. You are hereby granted your very own Furcula. Spring well and spring often.

The Asian ladybug. These little guys - and gals - can build up in HUGE numbers on the sunny sides of houses in the fall and spring. thankfully this one was alone, crawling over some vines near our back deck.

If we as a society have reached the point where, as some have proposed, we should be able to "abort" AFTER there has been a successful birth, then we are legalizing the taking of a life which is now a part of our living/breathing environment, but who has not committed a crime worthy of such a punishment. So - if we can do that, then why restrict it to shortly after birth? Why not make it 3 years after birth, or even 18 years? After all, 18 is now the "legal age". By setting the limit to abort at such a late term, it would also serve as a deterrent to bad behavior. If you're a 17 year old, and you know your mom can still "abort you", then you might think twice before committing an error for which you know she will not approve.
I'm just sayin'..........:-)

This little bandit has been emptying my hummingbird feeders at night, so I started taking inside the ones he could reach. So now he comes in the middle of the afternoon. He tips them over, lets the sugary water fall to the floor of the deck, then he goes down and licks it up. Today, I caught him in the act. This one is just prior to his climbing up to the deck railing.

Mark, these are REALLY good. I especially like the lighting for the earwig. Did you do anything different for that?

It has a nice Playboy Magazine cartoon look to it.

Vargas? I used to look forward to his addition to the issue. But THIS lady is definitely NOT a cartoon. :-)

Some discussions recently about working with more "mature" models. I typically don't have a lot of work in that area, but looking through my stuff, I have worked with two models in their mid-40's, which I guess I would put in the "mature" category vs the typical 18-30 year olds. Anyway, I will post a few of the shots and see what people think. First up is Jen, she was about 44 at the time of this shoot.

She's a lovely lady. I think there's great potential, but I don't really love the pose, especially the nose view.

Being wired differently in and of itself does not a sick person make. Timmers has shown that he functions in society successfully in a way that most of us do not. He is on the fringe, without a doubt, but his art has a value to people who are also on the fringe. In a free world, we must allow experimentation, and that often leads to disappointment, failure, and sickness of all sorts. Timmers has a sense of defiance, and I applaud that. As a person who created behavioral modification studies in college modeled after B. F. Skinner's studies, I think he is reaching for excuses as to why he is being subjected to Hog criticism. Nonetheless, if you are offended by his artwork, stop looking. He goes where no hog has gone before!

I agree with everything you said. I am not a fan of Timmers' work, but what he posts represents his interpretation of the art. And as you said, if you don't like it, don't look at it. It's like complaining about the "general quality" of work that's appearing on these pages. One of the REASONS these pages exist is for those who know their work needs improvement and they post here hoping for suggestions that will help them to improve. If you have no suggestions and you're seek only those posts (and there are some good ones) that actually SHOW you what excellent work looks like, then just move on to those fitting your needs.

I must be getting old, I spent more time looking at the piece of equipment than the model!

I'm old, but not that old. :-) The equipment is interesting, but the pose is incredibly erotic and arouses images of dungeons and secret seductive meetings and unspoken taboos. :-) Well done, sir.

If you don't like Laylafan's contributions just move on. No one is looking for your negative response. I sometimes ask questions because I honestly am looking for a solution to a problem that I may be having. Well, here comes some knucklehead chastising me for asking a question that someone had asked a month ago. Well, I didn't see it. EXCUSE ME. Some of the photos that I see are out of focus or have a slanted horizon, chopped off appendages, etc., etc., etc. There are some professionals here and there are a plethora of amateurs (of which I'm one). I've been a member for a few years and look forward to the daily UHH. But I have noticed that there are some among us that have a tendency to me negative or stick their noses in where they don't belong and we really don't care to hear it. Adding nothing, but maybe intimidating someone so that they're hesitant to ask questions in the future. If the Guggenheim is having a Georgia O'Keefe exhibition and you don't like her work...YOU DON'T GO. The Wadsworth in Hartford Ct. had a Mapplethorpe exhibition a few years back. Well, it received a lot of negative reviews. I thought the guy was brilliant (with maybe just a couple exceptions). My point is: Have a little compassion for our friends in the UHH community. For the most part...for me anyway...I enjoy the forum. Let's keep it a positive experience. Can we?! By the way naysayers did you happen to see Janet a couple of days ago (Dec 30th) from Laylafan 69? Keep 'em coming LF69!
