The Asian ladybug. These little guys - and gals - can build up in HUGE numbers on the sunny sides of houses in the fall and spring. thankfully this one was alone, crawling over some vines near our back deck.
Fantastic detail... I would not tell this one to "fly away home" as the Nursery Rhyme suggests.
Nice photo! They bite also. My wife calls them hatiebugs and we have plenty!
Job well done. Clear, colorful, and highly detailed. The Asian beetle is an invasive species and they pose a threat to the native ladybug beetle. Also, Country Boy is right, these little buggers do bite.
