This is a 100 year old grandfather clock I had to rebuild for a customer. this was taken long before my accident. some of you were asking to see some of my wood working. Trying to get back in the shop. the clamps you see help hold it in place as the glue dries.very hard to match finish on older pieces.

Hello my photography friends. Its been a very long time since I have been here. A lot has happened in the past to years. My wife and I have built our retirement home in Tennessee. We wanted to do this two years ago but something happened that would test my resolve and physical being. June 17th of 2022 I was in a very bad accident. I was hit by a dump truck while working. The truck was doing 55 mph when it hit me. threw me over the guard rails and more than 50 feet. As you can guess I had some very bad injuries. I was in the hospital for four months and countless physical therapy. Just finished my last therapy session. I am mobile with a walker or a cane. I have learned patients and other ways to accomplish task. I am going to start my photography training after we get settled in our retirement home. I couldnt move my legs for a long time In the accident I broke my left hip my left pelvis my right knee tore my left achillies and internal injuries. Life has been very challenging but i am no quitter. It's been a big fight. Now I will try to get back into my life that i enjoy. Photography and my wood shop. there will be learning curves but I will achieve. stay tuned my friends. And please be safe out there there are careless people out there.

Please, read my post once again. I do not believe you understood what I was trying to say. The image was not spontaneous if he asked permission to shoot it. Cannot be romantic if there is no inter-relation between the couple; that has to be planned if not happening spontaneously and it did not happen spontaneously.

Once you ask permission to make the image your next step is to ask permission for posing to make it romantic. That is planning.
Did you get it now?

It was a shot in the moment! I asked permission out of respect for the couple. As you know some people may not like having there picture taken. Even when I am out shooting and I see people who I want to be part of the composition in the photo I will ask. Do you take pictures of people you don't even know without asking their permission? Having a model I would call a planned shoot.

This photo was taken at Virginia beach. I spotted this couple at the beach in the early am. I noticed they were having a conversation next to the pier and thought this would be a nice photo. I asked them if they would mind if i took this photo with them in it. If you look to the right you can see a pelican on the light post another added piece to the composition. The young couple informed me they were on their honeymoon. What luck to photograph young love at sunrise at Virginia beach. I have not posted anything in a while I have been very busy opening a new business.

I have not posted anything for a long time. I have been very busy opening my shop. This is a blued pine vanity I built for my bathroom remodel. A lot of people do not know about blued pine. This is another one of natures beauty. Blued pine is caused by the pine beetle these patterns are like snow flakes no two are the same. The pine beetle is a very small beetle about the length of your finger nail. They do some awesome work if you can catch the pine in time. This photo was taken with my I phone.

We hiked up to the top. The view was spectacular. The image is a 3 shot Panorama. The ocean mist created some interesting light.

This one really does require a download.

If you do not download this photo you are missing a great shot! Fantastic shot Greymule very well done!!

In reviewing my Mighty Five trip shots to prepare a post on Zion, I realized that I had not posted my pictures of the San Juan Mountains during the portion of the trip around Moab. This was in October after one of the first snowfalls. Cany143 sees these very day, but for the rest of us who do not, the attached shots are offered.

Sometimes a great image happens just because you’re there at the right time. I should crop it a little but I really like the contrast.
