It is time for the NCAA to do something about the "one and done" athlete's. If a coach wants to go and get these wonder persons, the program should loose that scholarship for the next three years. The athlete is getting free ride for one year, gets no education and takes the place of potential student athlete. This unfair to a induvial who worked hard to qualify for college. Its all about money for the college, but dose little for self improvement for the student.

Can anyone give me any good information and pointers for the upcoming Air Show? Like what to watch, where to try and station one, what time to come, etc.

Thanks for your replies in advance.

"As good as this bar is," said the Scotsman, "I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow, there's a wee place called McTavish's....
The landlord goes out of his way for the locals. When you buy four drinks, he'll buy the fifth drink."

"Well, Angus," said the Englishman, "At my local in London, the Red Lion, the barman will buy
you your third drink after you buy the first two."

"Ahhh, dat's nothin'," said Paddy Sheehan, the Irishman. "Back home in me favorite pub in Galway,
the moment you set foot in the place, they'll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like,
actually. Then, when you've had enough drinks, they'll take you upstairs and see dat you get laid, all on the house!"

The Englishman and Scotsman were suspicious of the claims.

"Did this actually happen to you?"

"Not meself, personally, no," admitted the Irishman, "but it did happen to me sister quite a few times."

Plan on completing one of the items on my bucket list. ND is the only state out the 50 I have not visited. Would like some good sites to visit. Like history, wildlife and scenery. Know that Roosevelt NP is one that is good, but don't have many other ideas. Will be going mid Sept. Coming from Michigan UP across northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Anyone out there using the Sigma 17-70 mm f/2.8-4 lens? Any problems or issues? Looks like it would be a good walk around lens for my D7100. Thanks for your input.

I wear varifocal glasses, and am confused about advice on setting the Diopter as to whether to wear glasses or not? I have seen advice on both, so what experience do have members on the Hogg have, and what recommendations do you have? Thanks.

Get a Hoodman eyepiece and wear your glasses. The Hoodman eye cup works great when setting your diopter with glasses.

Not only National Parks, but National Wildlife Refuges, National Seashores and National Monuments. So it is even a better deal for seniors. Have saved hundreds of $ over the last 10 years.

When in Michigan, Norman Camera in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo is a very good place to shop. They have skilled employs and most of the major photo manufactures goods.

Yes they can. AND, if your camera will AF at F8, then it will still AF with the Sigma 1.4X APO TC, but not with the 2X model.

Thanks MT. I take it that the 2x APO will not function in AF. Will it work in manual mode (metering and Ap64ST Aperture control? Sigma web site leaves a lot to be desired for information.

Can a Sigma APO Tele converter be used with the new Contemporary Lens? If not why? At the Sigma site they note to use the new TC unit with select lens, but did not find anything that said not to use APO type. Is this just a way to make you buy a different Sigma Tele Converter. They (APO) worked with the 150 - 500mm Sigma. I know that they may not auto focus in low light. I use a Nikon D7100.
