Barry, your adjustment just doesn't look quite natural to me, reduced saturation would be my preference.

Absolutely right. I’m completely against over saturation. And what I posted was just that. Always good to look at your work later. Barry

I took the liberty, if you don't mind, of playing with the crop... and then some dodging & burning and ended up with this.

Though looking at my export... I'd cut down the saturation a little bit more.

It's a nice scene though.

Commenting on my version (just above) about the saturation. I went back and cut the blue of the sky and mountains by about half. Better, I think.

TRUE ... pop ups are targeted to the user. The OP is almost certainly into politics per his browser data and thus gets political pop ups. Since I have less-than-zero use for any mix of internet and politics I get zero political ads.

The tone of the opening post also strongly suggests a political bent ... that adjective “partisan” is waaaaaay loaded.

Sure I have my political preferences. And I'm sure you do to. But I don't advertise it here on a photography forum.

But the point is... we don't need that stuff here... from either side. We get enough of it every day. Wouldn't it be nice to escape it a little?

Actual ads have shown up.

Why is UHH allowing political, partisan ads on this forum?

It's a beautiful hall.

As a retired professional musician... I've played in all kinds of halls around this country and in Salzburg, Austria where I did a year of study. Some halls were beautiful and some were ugly. Some had wonderful acoustics and some were lousy. My point is...

you can not look at a picture and decide what kind of sound you'd have if you played there. On tour... when we'd drive at a new hall.... the first thing we'd do is to walk to the front of the stage (or performing area) and clap our hands a few times. se listened... not looked.

If you ever played in the concert hall (on the second floor of the bank)in Troy, NY... you'd be horrified how run down it looked... not painted, etc. Then you'd play and think you were in acoustical heaven.

Be careful about judging a book by its cover.

If you do the Anthony Morganti videos... you'll feel like there is an expert sitting right with you leading you every step of the way. But try to do them in order. It will be time consuming... but well worth your time... if you're serious.

Here's a little trick I learned about pano shooting... perhaps here in UHH.

You're out shooting stuff and decide to do a pano. To make it easy to see which shots are meant for the pano amongst all the others in the camera...

shot #1 your left shoe pointing right. Then shoot all your pano frames... last shot is your right shoe pointing left. Later on you'll easily see which are your pano shots. Really works and helps.

note: it doesn't really have to be your shoe. Anything that will frame where the pano begins and ends.

In Chapel Hill, we uses to have a good cooking school (A Southern Season). I once took the (one session) course on food & photography. All I can tell you is that it is very, very difficult. Good luck with it. Sorry I can't really help you improve.

Here in Chapel Hill on April 2nd… everything is blooming. In all the years here… I’ve never seen this particular tree bloom in this way.

I’m posting this not for any photographic value. I’m posting it simply to share with you the unusual way that this happened… in this year… in this way.

Maybe it’s not so unusual. But it is to me.

Beautiful Landscape. Just added a little drama to it.

I didn't know there was a Mt. Oberlin. I am Oberlin College Conservatory of Music (Ohio).... class of 1955.

I just did a few of my favorite adjustments in the LightRoom Basic panel. That's all.

Regardless of real or fake... it's an awful picture. Outlandish colors. Just unpleasant to view. Sorry. But when you, post... you gotta take the bad with the good. No sugar coating.
