One tripod and one monopod. Since I only shoot with one camera at a time, I don't see the need for more than that.

Leica makes the M Monochrome, a monochrome only digital camera with 24mp. Only $7400.00

I know I can probably look this up, myself, but we’re heading out and I don’t have time at the moment. But is this feature (changing the menu setting to “aperture ring” or “command dial”) on the D7100?

I don't know about the D7100, but my D7000 has it. It's menu option f6.

The Exif data for both shots show Manual Exposure mode, f/8 aperture, center and weighted metering. The obvious difference is the shutter speed on one shot is 1/250 and it is 1/1000 on the other. Not so obviously the Exposure Compensation changed from -1 to +1 EV.

That is a dead give away as to the camera configuration, but there are two other bits of information in the Exif data that confirm it:

ExposureBracketValue: -1
ShootingMode: Continuous, Exposure Bracketing, Auto ISO

Exposure Bracketing is enabled and set to 1 fstop increments.

Which is to say the camera is doing exactly what the photographer has configured it to do. The problem is an operator error. The "solution" is to turn off backeting. See page 210 in the D7200 User's Manual.
The Exif data for both shots show Manual Exposure ... (show quote)

Good catch, my browser based exif viewer doesn't give that much info.

Yeah, something isn't right. If the ISO is changing and you don't like the results, that's one thing. But with all the other settings as they should be, the ISO should be changing, not the shutter speed. That is, until you reach the limits you set on auto ISO. Not sure whether shutter speed or aperture is prioritized if you're set on Manual as opposed to Aperture or Shutter priority. Anyone know?

Manual is just that, manual, if you set the shutter speed to 1/250, it's supposed to stay there.

I noticed that, I bought this camera used. Probably have to start everything over, thanks😆😨

I would try a factory reset.

The ISO in both shots is @ 560, exposure program set to manual, f/8. Center weighted averaging metering. The only change is shutter speed. I'm confused.

What metering mode were you using?

Has anyone else noticed that while he is playing left handed, the guitar is strung right handed? That means that he plays everything (including his chords) upside-down. Doyle Bramhall III, who played with Roger Waters is the only other guitarist I've seen that plays like that. Very nice job Min, I love the sign in the composition, he definitely looks to be keeping the blues alive and well.

Jay,
I have an Epson V600. I've had very good results with it so far. I just got the equipment and chemicals to develop my own b&w, so I'll be using it a lot more in the near future.

I don't know why I asked this question when I could just look it up myself. Which I did. It seems that when it is set to Aperture Ring you can still use the Sub-Command dial for G lenses without changing the setting in the menu.

That's right. I keep mine set to aperture ring for all my lenses.

With my 80-200 f/2.8 AF D ED Nikkor, I have to set the minimum aperture on the ring or else I get an error message on my Df. Perhaps other AF D lenses work differently?

There is a menu setting (I don't recall which one, and don't have my Df with me) that will allow you to set either the command dial or aperture ring to control aperture. Nearly all my lenses are D style, so I have set to aperture ring.

You may need to set the minimum aperture on the aperture ring and control the aperture with one of the command dials, as with a G lens.

He will be able to control the aperture with only the ring on the Df. Older Pre-AI lenses require the use of the command dial in conjunction with the aperture ring.
