Absolutely beautiful silhouette....DO NOT clone out the bottom bird, (second from the left.) You have a perfect "wrong way Corrigan" picture...Which doesn't happen very often.
Rich...

Thanks for the comments. What is a "wrong way Corrigan" picture?

I love contrasty, graphics-like b&w, especially silhouettes, and this is no exception.

I have the opposite response from Cdouthitt: for me, that bird adds visual interest because of the silhouette being sharply different from the others.

I also think having two rows of birds brings a nice balance to the random positions of the birds. Grounding it, if you will.

Can't think of anything I'd change. Fun and eye-catching!

(edit - enlarging the download, I see the birds' spots that amersfoot mentions. You could try increasing contrast to see if that removes, or clone them, or actually you could bring them out more with selective edits. Just depends on what you want from the final image, and whether you will print it - and what size. And now I'm thinking they are all starlings except for the one with tail showing. Do you know if that is the case? Just curious )

Linda, Thanks for taking the time to view and comment. Yes, they are starlings and I just might bring out the little bits of white. Great suggestion.

The top line of birds is more interesting...the bird 2nd from the left on the bottom really distracts me.

Hmmm, thank you for your opinion. I hadn't thought about cropping out one line.

An interesting shot which I quite like.

There is a lot of noise around and below the bottom left hand bird. I would clone that out myself.

Are they starlings? If so, I can't understand why a number of them have white spots on them.

Yes, they are starlings. I will look at the noise and see if I can get it out. Thanks!

Thanks for commenting. Interesting. I'm still not sure whether or not I like it, but something about it has me asking the questions.

Looking for some input. Do you like this photo or not, and why? It is pretty much as taken, used Nik B&W software sillouette.

This bird feeder has clips to hold the top on but it didn't deter this squirrel. I had to laugh, especially when I saw the birds still feeding.

Well I like it - a lot! The elk, the colors, the sillouette, all works for me.
