Years ago I looked into A pellet stove. I really didn’t like the fact that you needed electricity to run them and to use the blower. But the salesman told me that you can buy a marine battery, they are very small and you could hook these pellets stoves up to these marine batteries and that will power up the fan to put the heat into the room. I have known people that have done this and they probably have owned well over a dozen marine batteries just for that reason .... to ensure heat. How often does the power go off probably length of time?

I have the D50, bought a refurbished 2006 and it still does an excellent job. However I have thought about upgrading but the only ones that really have the internal focus the motor is the D7000 and the 7100. Costly little things!

I have the OM 10. I begin to experience the same overheating to the touch though no messages came up in the LCD. I have never had that happen so I sent it in to Olympus. Basically they said that was not a problem but I knew that that was not a normal function at least that was my other numerous digital cameras. Over a short period of time, The shutter button and dial actually fell off the camera! Fortunately it was under warranty and I asked them to address the problem of the heat on the back of the camera. It was seemingly repaired and I have not felt that problem to the same degree since. Prior to my shutter button and dialed falling off I had read of someone on UHH that had the exact same problem and I thought how unbelievably horrible, and then it happened to me ! Your advantage is that there was an actual message on your LCD and I’m sure that they will make it right.

There is such a low shutter count on the D7000. Is there anything wrong with the camera other than the few scratches on the LCD? Is there anything else we should know about. The battery being held in by the door does..... doesn’t hinder the use of the camera at all? I have wanted the D7000 for a long time but I’m not looking to buy any problems

Thanks. I'll fire up my time machine. Maybe I'll see my old Heathkit TV while I'm there.

EDIT: I just looked on the Lowe's site for a door bell and sorted by the best ratings. This is in the #1 position.

Now I find this funny!

Yrs ago you could buy a 'soft' filter or as my stepfather did.....put a light coat of vaseline on the filter.........(I tried it and what a mess to remove)
At least it was cheaper than purchasing an entire lens.

Its called 'interaction' and I hope the 'bites' of the world are not beginning to infiltrate UHH.....This is a friendly group of folk....if it bothers you, just don't engage in the answer.

I have an Olympus OM 10 and a Panasonic G7, both MFT. I took a photo last fall with my Olympus 14 to 42 lens. I got an outstanding print of 13 x 19 with Canon printer. I would not of been able to tell the difference between that and one taken with a digital SLR

I too have had some problems finding genuine Canon ink for my Ix6520 Canon printer. I prefer to use the genuine canon ink rather than third-party as the quality of the print is much better . However as everyone has probably noticed, you can purchase the printer relatively inexpensively but the cost of the ink will drain your pockets .
