Ok. Then you find the Nikon network on your phone or Ipad and select it. If there is no text after the "Password" on the P900 it means you do not need any password on your device to connect. If you set a password for your P900 network than you must use that password on your device when you connect to the camera and the camera will show you the password.

The procedure is to press the Wifi button on the P900, then select the Nikon network on your device and connect to that.

New P900 purchase - trying to connect camera to iPhone 10 and iPad with no success. Take camera menu to connect to smart device and screen shows term passsword but not sure what password is or for what device. Phone and iPad show the camera model and a group of numbers in the wi-if connect and ask for password which I am not sure what it is - then camera shows negotiating please wait and after ten minutes states could not connect. Any advice or help greatly appreciated - tax.

Before you work more on this, check if you have the latest firmware upgrade on your P900.

For such a distance, the formula is: "how much money you got? + how much lens can you hold?" .....

Or, get a Nikon P900.

Hello all. I am looking for a Mirrorless full frame body that I can use Leica M and R lens on with a built in viewfinder. I can not afford a Leica Digital, and it has to be full frame because I love wide angle lens. And in my search it seems that the only people that make cameras that will satisfy my needs is Sony. SO my question is two fold 1st did I miss any other options that fit my list of needs. 2nd what is the least expensive Full Frame Sony body( I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, I just want to use my lenses)

THANKS
John

Yes, you are right. Sony is your only choice. To get something affordable you would need to buy a Sony A7. You should be able to get a used one for $400-500. Then you would need a $10 adapter to attach your lenses to the camera.

A sad thing to see. RIP.

I agree. Very sad, both the accident and the guy making money from it on youtube.

You're right, maybe some persons need to know it don't you think?

It is all in the camera manual. For those who need to learn manual photography it is a good start in terms of how to use the camera. Composition is another thing needed for good results. Plenty of info on that free online.

Don’t think I was clear. I want to plug in chargers iPad etc in power strip that handles U.S. plugs then plug the power strip into the outlet in Ireland which I know needs a G plug. What power strip will handle that.

If you prefer to bring the strip with you you still need the adapter to plug the strip to the socket in Ireland. Just bring one of the strips laying around in your house and then buy the adapter at the Poundland store.

Any suggestions for the above? How to, settings, filters, film etc.

No suggestion here about a book. Would rather recommend you search youtube for advice.
Settings. Set ASA according to the film you use, use yellow filter for landscapes with lot of sky in it. Kodak Trimax 400 film is good allaround film to start with. Other settings depending on your preferences, just like in digital photography.

Going to Ireland and thought I’d like to bring a power strip. My chargers are dual voltage so the strip doesn’t have to convert power from 220 to 110. Any recommendations?

Just go to a Poundland store when in Ireland and buy adapter for your chargers to use them in Ireland. The cost is 1 pound pr. adapter. This is all you need.

What's your opinion?

http://friedmanarchives.blogspot.com/2018/03/natureporn.html#more

I would say this article is a lot of nonsense. First of all the "heavily" altered sky in the first picture is actually something that is sometimes pretty close to reality. Of course it is not what was pictured on location that day but sunset in this area on a bright summer day is often spectacular. So it is a false statement to say the picture and reality will never fit.

Other than this first picture the "faking" is mostly about using slow shutter speeds and in one picture a flaslight or something alike to light an ice cube. Slow shutter speeds have been around since the early days of photography and no one should think it has been around unused for 200 years or what ever. It has been part of photography all the way from the start of it. And lighting an ice cube with a flaslight. Is that more fake than lighting up a street with street lights or some outdoor scene with car lights? And then take a photo of the scene? It is neither a fake or a special art form. Just the right thing to do in photography. And the Northern Lights, what was wrong with them? I found them look better straight out of camera but the raw manipulation is in no way a fake, but probably more realistic than the straight out of camera photo since a camera has a limited dynamic range to exposure the picture correctly.

Overall is mirrorless FF any smaller than a DSLR?
Not just body but system wise to carry in a bag.
Take into balance and holdability if you wish.

Yes, I know M4/3 is smaller but so is the sensor substantially smaller.

It depends.

The Sony bodies are smaller, yes. New Sony lenses are about the same size as dslr lenses, not much difference there.

But if you buy a Sony FF body you have other choices that may or may not fit your needs. You can use old or new manual focus glass very easily on those cameras. Then you can save a lot of space space in your bag. This is not a practical option in any case with a dslr but if you are not shooting fast moving objects this is a good option with full frame mirrorless. So it depends on what you shoot. Manual focus lenses of various age are my preferred lenses on Sony FF and it works really well for me.
