Three years ago when I posted my picture of him shortly after he was born I knew then that someday he
would fulfill all my dreams of being a beautiful stallion in mind and body. He is now under saddle training
and after only 1 and a half weeks being ridden he made his under saddle debut to a win. The dreams continue
as we get him qualified to be in the National and World Championship show in Oklahoma City.

Did they think to check the license plate or serial number of the car?

Camera did not belong to the owner of the vehicle so who ever stole the car also stole the camera or left it behind when they ditched the car.

While in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park last week I had the excitement to witness early one morning a wild horse roundup--by another horse!
We came around a corner and first saw the stallion on our right side along a hill with his herd a bit ahead of us more on the left side. After taking some pictures and enjoying the view we noticed the stallion coming with his ears laid back as he rounded up his herd, took them down the road, and up to the top of a bluff where they would probably be spending the day. It was sooo cool to see this happen!

I have witnessed this before..love the way the stallion snakes out his long neck and they all listen to him. He probably got wind of another stallion.

These may not be what you had in mind, but they are what they are, in this case Haflinger Ponies. These two ladies are very typical of the breed. Although I see them often and have plenty of opportunities to get shots of them, today the light was particularly appealing. They seemed to glow against the shady background. I played around a little with color in pp since the downloaded colors appeared quite a bit more saturated. The results are not consistent between shots. Does anyone have a preference?

The skies were partly cloudy today when I shot this Osprey coming in for a landing by it's nest.
I used 560mm at a distance of 36 yards (rangefinder measured).

When I first pulled up he was sleeping, lifted his head for a second, but wasn't concerned with me on the other side of the road.I just set up to spend some time with the little guy/gal when someone raced by and almost ran it over. Needless to say, he was off in the woods.

Beautiful captures..too bad the speeder had to ruin it for you and the fox.

This bird is a white faced ibis - can be mistaken for the glossy Ibis but you will notice that it has a red face whereas the glossy has a bluish face.

Thanks for your reply..that has been pointed out to me.

These are White-faced Ibisis. Note the grey bill, the red eyes and the white feathers on the face. The red legs indicate that this is a bird in breeding plumage. Their summer range includes the southeastern portion of Oregon.

Your photos are terrific, thanks for sharing.

I agree that you have a White-Faced Ibis, but in any event, your first photo really sets off their beautiful colors.
