I think the background is way too dark.
It looks like you shot it at night.

Oh wait....

 Nice!

Jeese!
Drink what tastes good to YOU, and the way you like it.
I do.

Don't worry, be happy.

Naw, it's the same moon as always.
Just hype to make folks think it's super.

How come Superman stops bullets with his body,
but ducks when an empty gun is thrown at him?

I believe what we have going on is Oblowme's plan to fundiMENTALLY change America.
Why does the Department of Homeland Security need Billions upon Billions of rounds of hunting grade expanding bullet ammunition?
Ammunition outlawed by the Geneva Convention. Ammunition intended for immediate death of whatever it hits.
And drones over American citizens.

What's going on is the death of America. While the elitists line their pockets with cash, and take lavish vacations on taxpayer dollars.
But hey, the ship is going to capsize soon.

Oh, and don't forget your cell phone. It has GPS tracking in it to find your butt.

Well either of two things will happen: 1. Obamacare will disappear and some of this will be averted, or 2. they will find out how true it is within 3 years. They had better hope they can afford to pay for concierge medicine like the two tier system in UK. As a doctor who has ALREADY left like many of my colleagues, I know what is in store. If people want to call it right wing propaganda, good luck to them. I hope they are satisfied with medical care from a PA or nurse practitioner, because that is what they will have.

Most likely even less Cat.
Because our Daughter teaches Nursing at USC. What is going through, and coming out is NOT what I want to trust my or my Families care to.
Dumb doesn't just apply to the 47% who put and kept the current fiascoes in Washington.
I get to go see a Physical Medicine Doctor 07/31. (Specialist)
His name is:
Dilipkumar Hargovands (& a 3 letter sir name) MD
I kind of doubt he is a nice Jewish boy. He does wear a sheet on his head.

America has shot herself in the foot and is bleeding out. :hunf:

No change in the weather.
Just more hot air.
Typical for summer though.

I would think that data would be better off on SD cards as opposed to a hard drive, especially one that is still spinning 24-7. SD cards are solid state memory and that is where we're headed as a replacement for hard drives because there are no moving parts which should reduce or eliminate mechanical failure which is inherent in hard drives.

To add to that, Video cameras have shrunk dramatically due to solid state memory over the hard drives of yesterday.
And certainly from the tape drives of yesteryear's.

Thanks Sonny, for your comment!
Good luck to you also, I know I have a lot more to learn, but no doubt about it, I'll keep shooting!!
...and my delet button is wearing out also!

BTW angela,
I count 5 little yellow hair like protrusions on the Beetles left front leg when zoomed in.
I know they are not apparent unless zoomed in.
Good shootin!

Sometimes I think we are our own worst critics. I know I am about things I do...

PS: Two dogs have rescued me in the recent past. For that, I have given them long and comfortable lives. :D

AHHH, Dinner!

Hey, that's cool. You were able to keep it PG.
Great picture series! :D

We discovered a pair that just began a nest on our patio out here in California.
So I started a thread and hope to post progress if anybody is interested.

Love this sites picture abilities for downloading and zooming.
What a fantastic place to look and learn!

thanks, hope you get some good views. i had a pair that nested for years in a redbud tree. good they're using a hanging basket, doves build terrible nests. look forward to seeing more

Thanks, I'll try.
That is encouraging news about a pair using a nest for years.
We have smaller birds that have 3 nesting places around the eves of the house, and they seem to get used year after year.
I'll try and maintain this "Dove basket" in the hopes they will return in the future. That's Columbine flowers in it.

We have two small dogs that tend to keep cats away.

They look sharp on my monitor. Even after downloading and zooming.
The bee is nice and sharp, and the surrounding is very good as well.

I'm just getting started with DSLR, but ran onto a fundamental that might be good to point out:
Eyepiece focus adjustment. My camera won't quite compensate for my old eyes without my readers (2.0). So I learned to make sure I'm using them, and have the compensator adjusted to my old fart eyes.

Also, I have to wonder about different folks monitors or digital displays and their settings. Billions of variables there.
So take advices with a bit of light and a grain of salt.
Keep Shooting!

(I think I might wear out my delete key first.)

Umm, no.
But then, they are squatters.

Wife sez 14 days to hatch, and could take up to 24 hours when they do start.
I'm one who kind of steps back and just watches. I'm just passin through this life.
I'll try and keep this thread alive for those interested.
