I haven't tried a tinted background, this was an off the cuff capture coincidentally against a white wall. it's an idea, I will try adding various tints to see what looks good.
We adopted Lewis and his sister over 30 years ago and I was married to his mother for a while so, yes, I've had a lot of experience photographing dark skins.
