I'm trying to figure what the numbers on my shutter speed mean like 1oo,16o 25o,5ooand so on. I'm trying to learn about blurring speed .Instrcution say set at 1/15 of a second which isn't on my dial/screen.

I'm finally catching on about my Nikon D7000 but-
I have trouble with understadning and setting the shutter speed. The instructions and even a book I bought seem to gloss over this, telling about F stops and its relation to shutter speed. Is there a way to set shutter speed independently, manually?

The dog hairs are more defined than the 18-105mm.
Is the 200 more versitile or the one I should keep on the camera?

Whats the main difference between a 55-200mm f/4.6g IF ED and 18-105mm135-56G ED lense. The latter came with the Nikon. (Just the facts)
I took a pic w. the 200mm and it looks better the standard.
Still new to this and you help has been great!
