I talked to a lot of graphic designers before I switched to a laptop. All of them said to get a MacBook. I’ve been using MacBook Pros for more than 10 years. I just upgraded to my second one and couldn’t be happier.

I used Shutterfly. Easy peasy. Make 13 jpegs, drop them in, done. They were wire bound, not spiral but the other type, printed on good quality paper with true colors, and were delivered pretty quickly. No complaints.

I just like my two Olympus cameras, M5 III and m1 III, for their size, feel, looks, image quality and internal stabilization. I feel liberated in comparison to my old Nikon gear.

I think that what makes a good photograph now is the same as it always was. A camera can’t compose, can’t tell a story, can’t choose what’s important, and can’t make a statement. It is a tool, albeit a sophisticated one.

Topaz would be my choice as well.

The synch function in LrC will make removing the green cast easier. In some situations where color is not central to your image, black and white works well. I was recently in the fish and spice markets in Zanzibar which are dimly lit. The people photographed beautifully. Also, as you know, ISO is your friend.

I have the OMD m1 III which is an older version of the OM1. I’d say the eye detection is very good as I was able to photograph the pupils of the animals I saw on safari in Tanzania. How far away was I? The closest you’re allowed to be is 100 yards and many shots were farther than that. Given that the OM1 is newer my guess is that the eye detection is even better.

I took my weathersealed camera and lens on Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds at Niagara Falls with no problems. At the time it was the Olympus OMD e5 mark II and the sealing on the new ones is even better.

My 75 year old body loves my mft Olympus em1 mark III. I traded in my Nikon in 2016 and never looked back. I’m taking better images and better quality and a significantly lighter load!

I’ve used Blurb in the past and struggled with text. I couldn’t figure out how to make the text big enough in the draft stage to accurately proofread. I will say that aside from that the books were stunning. I’ll take a look at the you tube you suggested.

I’m looking to you for help and advice. I’m putting together a book from a recent photo safari using Shutterfly. I’m having a lot of issues with the process mostly stemming from, I think, the size and quality of my images and I can’t get a clear answer from their chat. I’m using Lightroom Classic for the photos. When I convert from raw to jpeg (the only format they accept) what should the quality % be? My images are already cropped, some a lot, which I know means a smaller “window” on the page. My aspect ratio is 4/3. Do I need to change that? Is there a step by step guide for Shutterfly or some other service that will walk me through the process from sizing to assembly? What would you recommend? Many, many thanks in advance for any advice!

You might consider buying an Olympus tough TG 6. I accidentally flung it 20 feet and nothing happened to it, not even a scratch. And that’s not the first time it got dropped. It’s also good to 50 feet under the water. I think you need it
