An attempt to make this a Black & White photo. I just never do B&W, thought I would give it a try.
The is the Little Grand Canyon in Yellowstone National Park. The waterfall is 320ft from top to bottom. That white stuff on the hills is snow.

That looks like the place where three hickers got killed a couple days ago ,one woman fell and two men jumped to save her , in B.C. Canada, it was about a hundered feet down rocks and end of water fall at bottom , I don't have a clue why the other two jumped ,the only thing I can think of is they were back from the edge and when she went over they could see water in the distance back ground and thought
It was a big lake down below , they were tourist,

The lack of compassion, your disrespect and lack of manners and civility in your answers make it apparent that you have lived alone with books instead of having "human"interaction, which is what most of us do here.... talk to others about their experience. Yes, people like you make it difficult to want to learn through forums like this.

But, hey, friends, don't get discouraged by the trolls.

Good question, swartfort, helps me learn too.

WOW! That sounds like a quite a process to remember. I'm glad we have freezer's to save our food when needed! Thanks for the outline, IBM . . . & HAPPY 4TH, AP

Its very simple if you brake it down : gut fish , use head for soup base , heavily rock salt on cleaned fish for a month in a plastic food bucket
Take out of salt as much as you want to eat ,cut fish in big chunks , hope you left skin on , put in a big bowel or a ice cream bucket then
Fill with fresh water change water every couple hours .I just leave under the tap all night and all next day on a slow trickle of water ,
When all the salt is out ,put a gallon of water in a bucket , put some water in a pan heat it then take two table spoons of LYE dissolve in
The water then add it to your gallon of cold water put your salt free fish in the Lye water and in about three days you will have lutafisk
Stir it every day ,you can tell when it's done , enough take it out put it in some water with salt and boil it for ten or fifteen min , eat it with
Melted butter potatoes, flat bread ,green peas

Thanks for the condescension. The only thing that you KNOW what I don't know is the question I asked. I do KNOW your response was pompous and might be a CLUE why people hesitate to ask questions here. I am sure there are BOOKS on kindness and generosity that you could invest in. Maybe if I join a camera club I could run into someone as KIND as you face to face. To others who try to help. A sincere thank you.

Yea you may be right it sounds as you know very little and are asking the wrong questions ,like what is the fstop and what does it do when I change it , and what does a higher or lower shutter speed change your stop out come if your in manual , then there's iso how many years yo
Been with a camera , hang in there you will do ok

My "common sense" look at this tells me that there is a difference, but numbers are the same so....

I am shooting with a lens with variable aperture 4-5.6, but I find the sweet spot of the lens is 7.1 or 8. When I purchase a new lens with a 5.6-6.3 variable aperture, but has significant more reach (and size, lens groups etc.) but I still shoot at 7.1, will my camera's sensor still set the same ISO (I shoot auto ISO)?

Another way to state this... Does a 7.1 aperture setting on a short tele lens allow the same amout of light onto the sensor as a 7.1 aperture setting on a long tele lens?

Thanks[/quote the aperture is like your eye , and a cats eye ,you notice how wide the get in dim almost dark out , if the cat opened its eye
Looking at the sun and open it's eye it , would be over exposed
and just get a big blast of sun light and his eyes holes would shrink ]
it was dark, his eyes would open like the owel s eyes

There is other factors just be cause it's the same stop doesent mean your going to get more or less light . Your shutter speed for one among others

I suggest read some books ,is a inch the same on every measure tape or school ruler , does f8 and be there ring a bell , if aperture were not the same we all would be in trouble , you have got to start from the beginning ,it appears you know nothing about how a camera works and don't have a clue what each thing is for , join a camera club and get asking questions , I learned through reading books , the first was the time life books on photography about 14 volumes, on every thing you need to know ,

Welcome, IBM! I am familiar "Lutafisk," the Portuguese in my area make this drying technique using heavy salt all the time! Always keep in touch IBM! CIAO, AP

I don't dry it ,my dad and his dad. My gramps freeze it if they want to keep some ,but in Norway years ago there was no home freezers
They had to dry it if they wanted to keep it , it freezer like any other fish , you can freeze the cod fresh then thaw out and and then
Add the Lye and water , but you have to salt it heavy for at least two weeks to make it , even if you get it fresh you have to salt it . We
Got the fish in sep .Then salted it down and made the lutafisk in Christmas time , froze enough to have it about five more times ,
Then in sep we got more fish and did it again every year ,keep making the sword fish dish ,if you can , the gray cod are almost gone
Back east, and one time you could use them for surf boards , there was millions of tons , they fished themselves out of house and boat

It's like a swimming pool and kids , just leave your gate open and a three year wanders in and drowns , the same applies to
Teens and the boat , would you like to pay the hospital and D.R. bills that keep going up , and insurance won't couver you
If it is proven that the get was not locked, you could get jail time also , I would say there is a lot to protect ,and not only you
But your unattended victims
