As far as those self check outs go, I just refuse to use them......They have put a low level worker out of work and I am not going to do that work for free! And yes I am sure I could do the scan just as well as a paid worker.

I had a screech owl fly into my wind shield on a dirt road and was able to stop before he slid off and got run over. Took him home and he came to in about an hour. Kept him in cage while he recovered . His right eye looked to be still damaged after a week when he wanted out. He flew up to a low branch in a oak tree with a piece of raw cube steak in his mouth. While he was at my house he ate good, raw fish, steak, hamburger, cheese and as much as he wanted. They even like limburger cheese! I would have loved to have kept him, he was tame enough to accept food from my fingers. The size of their mouth is unreal, huge for the size of the bird. I believe one would have to have a special permit to keep a raptor. I later found I would have to have changed his diet to stuff with feathers and hair!
I lost interest in nascar a few years back. Was watching a race on tv when the anouncer blurted out ...."the race leader was letting a rookie have the lead for a few laps as a courtesy" Turned it off as it was no longer a race.
Look at the great shots newspaper photographers used to get and publish. Today crappy cell phone pictures from a bystander if at all is published .

Might be good to lean more toward the vp candidates. The way the pres candidates are bashing each other and if just half of what is claimed true neither might make it till nov. Worst choice for the country ever!
Am still getting a recall notice for the ignition thing, they wanted to plug the hole in the key to fix a bad switch detent. Had to have it towed a year before the ignition recall and switch was replaced but the housing with detent wasn't and that was the problem. no more gm here. I drive a nissan now.
My last two dogs were great Pyrenees that lived 9 and 12 years. My new puppy is 1/2 Anatolian and great Pyrenees. Just a pet. He was bred for guarding goats. I have 5 acres fenced and the only thing he has to guard is his cat. I just like the temperament of a big dog verses an ankle biter! He is 8mo. old, short hair, and 90lbs and a house dog. Totally socialized and loves people and would help a burglar carry out my stuff.
Older computers can run some older linux systems but the newest and most complex linux needs a modern late model computer. I think most of the new linux systems come with hundreds of programs and drivers ready to use. May be thousands. All installed.
I have been using linux since 2001 and am not any expert. There are some things I can not do with it. But I have been perfectly happy with it. Since 2007 I have been using PCLINUX currently the 64 bit version. Linux has gotten much more user friendly in the 15 years I have been using it. john
