Canadian autoworkers are afraid that automobile manufacturing in Canada may be coming to a halt. They fear Gm will be shutting down plants and moving to Mexico, like many other companies.
"He pointed out, though, that the company is earning record profits, so its 6,600 members at GM will be looking to be rewarded, as they haven’t had a pay raise in a decade.
"We hope that General Motors remembers that when they were on their heels, in ’08-’09, almost in bankruptcy, that the Canadian and provincial governments gave them $10.8 billion in order to survive,” Dias said. “And the Mexican government never gave them a dime.

GM will go bankrupt again and I hope the government doesn't give them another dime, the cars are junk and I'm not sure if they paid back the last loan from our government.

I believe GMs so called bankruptcy was a crock and was intended to downsize quickly. Also believe the union was fully aware of this and cooperated with management. Many of my fellow former employees both hourly and salary agree.

Wages, benefits, safety, and pollution are all better for companies south of the border. I guess that's why cars are so cheap nowadays.
I only buy Chevy, but they sure messed over the stockholder when they did the bankrupt thing.
I hope you'll will vote for Hillary. She will stop the manufacturing south of the border and renegotiate the trade deals.
I bought a new Chevy S10 pickup back in the day and that cured me of ever purchasing another GM product. The entire exhaust system rusted off at less than 40,000 miles and burned up the wiring to the tail lights. The fuel filter sprung a leak at 45,000 miles and was dripping raw fuel onto the exhaust manifold. The radiator developed a huge leak at around the same time.
Vote for Hillary? Sorry, I have a rule against voting for pathological liars with blood on their hands. Voting for that witch says something about a person's moral compass.
