I use Pentax K5 and K20 Cameras and I rarely shoot at an ISO higher than 400 because of the noise. What Noise Reduction Software would you recommend for reducing noise without making the image soft? I need the image to remain SHARP or is that asking to much of software and all of the software reduce the image sharpness? I know that sharpness is very subjective and that what some people call sharp might be soft to someone else. I am pretty critical of my images and I like for them to be very sharp. Thanks in advance for your help.

I like HRD, I think it is just another tool to be used. Just like a polarizing filter. That being said, I agree with Meives, the colors look a little over saturated on my screen.. Great photos and composition. I really like the green area leading toward the horizon....
You need to go the magazine web site and check for the photo submission guidelines. If you can not find it then you need to call them and ask. It will do no good to send them the images if they are not what they are wanting and can use. I always send TIFF format and 300dpi and 9" on the short side which makes it roughly 9"x13".

Nice bird shots, to me the eagles look pretty soft.. I have had the Sigma 500mm f4.5 for about 10 years and it is a great lens. I think you will find that you will need a tripod to get really sharp shots with it. Enjoy it and happy shooting.......
