If you can identify where on your hard drive your photos are located, Importing to LR should be a snap.
LR gives the option to "Add" photos to its Catalog during Import in addition to "Move" or "Copy". So, in the Import dialog of the Library Module, select "Add" at the top of the screen. On the left of the screen, select the directory (Windows) or Folder (Mac) that contains the photos you want to import.

Once you point LR to the directory, the photos should appear in the middle portion of the screen. You can select All or as many as you want to Import.

Remember that the Import tells LR where your photos are. You may, but do not have to Move or Copy them during import. Move or Copy are most appropriate when loading new photos from you camera or memory card, or when you want to create a new folder or directory structure.

I was born in the State of Georgia, but moved to Florida, where I spent most of my life. I moved back to Georgia when I retired simply because it is a cheap state to live in. Just one example is, in Florida, taxes are four times what they are in Georgia.
The problem is, many, but not all of the people here are about two bricks short of a full load. Now, I suppose you need proof so here goes.
Contractors put the air conditioner handler units in the attic because they are too lazy to run duct work to the basement where they should be. They then install a leak pan under the unit that rarely works, then when they leak and then water floods the ceiling. I wonder about ninety year old people that must go into the attics to change the filter. If you go into a store that has a bathroom, they install a bottom feeding toilet paper dispensers five inches off the floor and you have to rise up off the toilet to get paper. that was ok for the old side feeders. More people have died on the roads in Georgia than in Tennessee, South and North Caroloina and especialy Florida. Stupid people cause more wrecks it seems. There are many more examples but I can't list them all...Anyone know any more to share. I love slamming Georgia.
