One thing I will point out that will give your sports shots a more finished touch is level horizons, in the first two shots you submitted a good level horizon would a more finished look, also a lighter crop to remove some of the area above the ball and player

The best experiences I have had buying and selling used camera equipment has been with KEH. I usually obtain a verbal quote prior to send my items for sale. I do describe in detail the equipment I wish to sell and the offers after evaluation are usually equal, in some cases more than the verbal quote. I do have one advantage since I live in Atlanta and I want to actually look at an item they offer for sale, I can arrange to have the piece of equipment brought up from the warehouse and actually arrange to view. On one occasion the sales person actually had the camera body I had selected, he called back later and the body may have been missrated or graded. He also found another body same version that he thought have been rated properly. I had shipped a body and some lenses to Adorama and my intention was to apply the money they would pay equipment I had sent. I must say their evaluation process took longer than I had expected, and the offers were less than quotes I had received from KEH.

A few years ago my niece was married. Her father had a co-worker and his wife shoot the wedding. After the wedding cake had been eaten, the last drop of punch had been swallowed, the quote unquote photographer delivered what they called proofs, which later became final edits. The fee this photographer charged was within a few hundred dollars of what and experienced photographer or wedding photographer would have charged for a fee. My brother in law saw the guy daily and gritted his teeth until he changed jobs and no longer had to look at guy and say, I shoulda, coulda spent the extra money got better results, and not poor work

As others have said enjoy the wedding. The quickest way to loose a friend is to loan them money you intend to be repaid, the second is to be a wedding photographer. Most wedding photographers these days require at least one primary shooter, and then a second shooter. Most wedding parties today also want video as well as stills. What ever fee you might charge might not be enough to cover loss of your friendship

I have used the Adobe chat feature and always been satisfied with the help and response that I got, rather than an e-mail question, or a call to the 800 number

The problem is more than likely not a result of a camera or lens problem. As earlier mentioned posting a sample of the some images you consider being out of focus might help you with your problem. If you wear glasses do you adjust the diopter to correct for the lens correction

You might take a look at 55-210 lens, if you find you might need a lens with a longer reach, the 55-210 lens is not a heavy lens

Most UPS stores are operated by individual owners I had a similar experience. The UPS Store nearest to me, about a mile from my home, seems to have profit as it's primary concern. I also received what I thought was a normally high price to pack and ship a camera to Canon CPS in VA. My shipment was a 70-200 lens for repair, it was during the busy baseball playoff series, the first quote was similar $138 for packing shipping and insurance. I went to another UPS Store approx two miles further, not only was their price less, $72. I mailed three sets of photos via USPS to some customers in late August 2017. I received all three sets back in my mailbox yesterday afternoon. I can usually set my watch based on the UPS delivery on my street. FedEx the same is true, at times, FedEx deliveries are sooner vs later. Many times in ordering I initially receive a UPS or FedEx tracking number, later they transfer the package to the USPS. I am able to track the package when UPS or FedEx tracking numbers exist, when the package is given to USPS many times their tracking system is not updated or does not work correctly

Could it be that the Eneloop charger was slower because it was giving the batteries a more thorough, healthier charge? When I charge a car battery, I always use the 2 amp setting, rather than the 15.

Jerry the Maha has a choice of giving a regular charge, it also has a soft cycle setting

I have used a Hoodman Loupe for several years to view the my camera screens for years and find it a great way to get a better view of the images I have taken during a shoot. One word I will add I have a policy of seldom if never permitting others to view the images I have taken in a camera, especially now, so many do not understand that they view is not what so many expect.

The majority of the images I have seen were Getty images, AP pool images. Here is a link to a CNN gigapixel link that is pretty neat
