koosh, I've owned and used that tee shirt for so many years that I can even remember what the 'large scene' between the "attention getting" word lines are. I 'wonder' if me being over 75 years old has anything to do with my memory? ;-) So no, I don't know where to purchase such an item. Hopefully (someone younger) knows of a specialty tee shirt manufacturer that is in business.

My tea shirt occasionally starts a discussion.

Because your verbal intent was the two dragon flies, the second photo does a better job of "telling that story". Thanks for sharing this "seldom seen" activity.

I just purchased a "bridge camera" capable of 4k video. I'm so glad I found this discussion group.

I am starting to learn Cyber Link Power Director. There are both free on line tutorials (which I use) and company online tutorials for sale. Best wishes on your decision.

Incidentally your camera clock is wrong, Exif says photograph was taken at 10.06 am so it shouldn't be dark at that time of day.

Could it be as simple as He took these photos out of his 'normal' time zone and his camera time doesn't automatically change as he travels?

jcboy3, thanks for your suggestion. While I don't use Firefox (any more), it could be a good alternative for me.

Shellback, I would have (originally) thought that a converter program would have to have a program already downloaded before it could be converted. I'll look into it. tnx so much.

In October my wife and I will be returning to full-time RVing. Because of the loss of available Internet connections (we don't even have data telephone plans or smart phones), I won't have opportunities to play the many on-line tutorials that (non that I have Internet) I'm privileged to follow. What software do you use to capture and save on-line videos for replay at later times?

I use CyberLink PowerDirector 64 bit Ultra 14 for Video Editing. While it does allow capturing video, it doesn't seem to capture the sound. And, it doesn't seem to allow off the Internet capture. It only 'captures' from DVDs, 'thumb drives', external drives, etc.).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Digit-up, I currently belong to two different photo clubs. (We are "rain birds", it doesn't snow on the northern California Coast.) Both clubs have twice a month challenges (different 'subject/intent' each time) that among other benefits get us out and thinking. The Chetco Photographers Association in Brookings OR doesn't allow critiques (other than what do you like about that photo) unless the photographer asks, while their photos are shown on the 1920 x 1080 TV, something like "What would you do differently if you took this photo?" Our "winter roost" co-op always welcomes improvement suggestions. However, a few new club prospects last year felt the critiques were 'hard hitting' and choose not to join the club (even though I explained the next day when we were talking that we know each other so well that those 'deep' suggestions were welcomed by each recipient.) I would suggest that your club consider a policy announcement prior to each showing. Maybe something like, "all of you including guests, are welcome to share what you like about each photo. We know which of our members also like comments that give improvement suggestions so after you join you may request this 'higher level' of critique if you so desire.

The date the picture was to be taken varies with each assignment. Most are taking during the two weeks or so since we have been given a tutorial of how to meet the next 'challenge'. There is alway an "open Category" where we can go back in our archives. That especially helps those that couldn't get out during that 2 weeks or so to take photos that go along with the previous tutorial.

Another member this week asked it we can also start submitting videos. The club was very open to that. I think that I'm going to show a video that I made that combines photography with geocaching. I have to confess that walking to a geocache used to be the 'finding challenge'. However, in the past few years I now have my eyes open to photo opportunities. If that is of interest to you, you might like this video:

If you'd like to correspond privately with specific questions, I do have quite a bit of experience. One of the clubs credits 'me' with starting their club. I however, give the credit to a 'group effort'.

Grandpa, just to let you know how 'far reaching' photos can get, I'm sending your photo of the car within the redwood tree (I titled it "Redwoods Parking") to another Grandpa that hopes his 7 year old strong willed granddaughter will visit him next month as they visit us here in northern California. He wanted some visual 'aids' to entice his granddaughter to want to come and use her 'investigative' talents to have fun during her (hopefully) visit with her grandparents. Your photo should help in convincing her to come. tnx

I'm so glad that I found this discussion group! I've been a member of UHH for a couple of years now, but just saw the notice yesterday of 'other groups'. Just last month our local photo club's challenge was Symmetry. I used the attached photo as one of my entries. (I was able to 'work in' these verbal words: "The Symmetry of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit".

Is there a Writer in this group? I've been trying to find a person locally that can either shorten by 1/2 a narrative that I've recorded that tells the story of "Knowing God's Plan" (my words). Or maybe there is someone here that has a completely different narrative that I can use to make a video that will show non-believers the importance of knowing "God's Plan."

Because I'm asking for video help (from a photo group), I believe that your responses should be sent to me by private e-mail. To listen to what I'm talking about go to my web site www.assoc.com. Click on "Readings" and then click on "Don't Leave It On The Desk". I'm certain it will have as great of an impact on you and it did on me. I would like a shorter narrative because a large majority of people just don't seem to watch videos longer than 5 minutes.

I'm looking forward to learning more and more from this great group.

Sam
