In October my wife and I will be returning to full-time RVing. Because of the loss of available Internet connections (we don't even have data telephone plans or smart phones), I won't have opportunities to play the many on-line tutorials that (non that I have Internet) I'm privileged to follow. What software do you use to capture and save on-line videos for replay at later times?
I use CyberLink PowerDirector 64 bit Ultra 14 for Video Editing. While it does allow capturing video, it doesn't seem to capture the sound. And, it doesn't seem to allow off the Internet capture. It only 'captures' from DVDs, 'thumb drives', external drives, etc.).
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Some are hard to capture, but many (such as YouTube) can be captured with Realplayer:
http://www.real.com/ and played back from disk.

I use FastStone Capture.
You can also use FireFox as your web browser ... and enable a plugin that lets you capture youtube videos.
Not familiar with Cyberlink ... but you usually set to "record from speakers" or "record what you hear".
This may be in the sound card settings.
I use "Video Downloadhelper" for Firefox, works on most videos.
http://torchbrowser.com/this will record any media you have have open playing. you do not have to watch while downloading. after download starts move on to another while first one still loading.
any problem pm me.

Shellback, I would have (originally) thought that a converter program would have to have a program already downloaded before it could be converted. I'll look into it. tnx so much.

jcboy3, thanks for your suggestion. While I don't use Firefox (any more), it could be a good alternative for me.

After video starts, click on on the flashing arrow. A window will open, asking where you want it to be placed, then click save. Then move on to next video, so on so on.
I have a pretty good collection of music videos now.

Snagit and Camtasia Studio will do what you want. Snagit is a screen capture package that can capture live video streams, and Camtasia is a video capture and editing program. Both are published by Techsmith.
I use the Apowersoft Free Screen Recorder. Captures audio and video in real time from youtube or other online streams. Saves the captured audio and video as an mp4 file.
