Welcome to the Hog Adrian. I have an E-M5 and didn't know about the evf problems before this but just dialed my diopter to zero in hopes to prevent any green spots on the evf. Don't have any yet but will be careful to keep the sun out of the finder. Really like the E-M5 so far.

Hi JimH123. Can this lens (mc) be mounted using a MD mount? I read about this lenses, but it's not clear to me if the MC and MD are the same adapter wise....

Didn't see where JimH123 answered you so I'll take a shot at it - the MC and MD will both fit the same adapter. The only difference between the MC and MD lenses is the MD has an extra lug on the aperture ring for the cameras that need the lug for the 'Program' mode. I have some Minolta lenses for use on my micro four thirds cameras and they take excellent pictures.

Has anyone had experience with this camera? I am thinking of buying one for use as a light weight flexible travel camera. A viewfinder is a must and so is a menu that is easy to use. Quality of build is another consideration since travel can be rough on equipment. Thanks for you help.

I have an E-M5 and really like it. The smaller size of the camera and lenses is great as is the lighter weight plus you can adapt almost any lens to it.

I use Nikon but also have an Olympus OM-D E-M5 that I really like, especially the size.

A Nikon 16-85 might be a good choice depending on whether it has enough reach for your needs. Or a 18-200 might be a good alternative. Both will autofocus with your camera.

When buying tripod legs how high should they be.? I'm 5'7" tall that comes out to 67", that is from head to toe, shouldn't the measurement be from eyes to toes? How much height does the head add?. I forgot to add I found some tripod legs that are 58". Should they be higher?

There may be times when the ground isn't level that you could use more length than that - hiking in the mountains comes to mind.

I use a Tokina 12-24mm f4 and it does the trick but I am limping along with a D300 so YMMV.....

Have you tried eBay?

Just an example of how hard it is to get any money for 35mm gear. Aside from a few brands and models they are about completely worthless. There's a Craigslist listing here in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA for 28 35mm bodies and 38 lenses for $300. It's been up for 4 days. The ad claims they are all clean and functional. The high cost of film and processing led me to get rid of my 35mm cameras. I finally threw away two Minolta 5 bodies (very advanced SLRs) and two Minolta zooms after I could not even get $25 for the lot.
