A group, consisting of five wildlife photographers, arranged to meet for a one day session, to shoot birds and animals. All of us are published photographers and I can attest for the other four, they know what they're doing. Sessions like that are not only fun but tremendously informative since we feed off one another. We were lucky to come across a lot of different species and I'll begin with some of the smaller ones we saw. I hope you enjoy them.

I shoot lots of wildlife with a telephoto that ony stops down to f/5.6 As a result lots of competing out of focus but not blurred backgrounds. Usually trees or tree branches. How do I get them blurred ?. Have PSE 9. You guys are going to get and show anything but Gorgeous? And that they are!!!

Very interesting picture and well done. How far away were you?

Oh, perhaps 50 yards or so. We were all in a bear viewing
stand Only allowed to stay in it for an hour or so, then had to move on. Taken at Brooks Falls Alaska.

Very nice capture. Wonder how many times they fall down the falls trying to capture a fish.

At 800lbs plus they are well anchored Never seen one fall. Only been up there every summer since 1993 The salmon sometimes take several attempts to swim up. They may slip and slide when I'm not there. Good observation and question.

That fish is thinking "Aw S--t!'

Lot worse than that! Also thinking " They warned us abut this in Spawning school before we entered fresh water, but nobody ever thought they knew what they were talking about in school"

I'm going to be taking some photo's for a Father daughter dance, for a friend. I have a Nikon D610, and three lenses. A 50 mm f/1.8g, 24-120 f/4, 70-200 and a 70-200 2.8g. Some photo's will be inside some will be outside. I would like to have your guys and girls opinion on which would be the best lens to use. I shoot in manual mode. I'm an amateur hobbyist but would like these to turn out as good as I can get them.

When in college I took pics at fraternity and sorority dances. All I had was a 50mm film camera with flash/strobe. What was most important was the COMPOSITION and lighting. All pics taken with flash. The people seemed to luv um as they bought lots of them. The people at your dance will be so happy to see the pics if they are good they won't care which lens you use. All will take good pics if you compose them correctly. Of course people will argue about using flash VS available light but then they will argue about anything. Good luck!!

TEXTING Communication in Today’s Generation

Daughter to Dad...
Daddy, I am coming home to get married, soon. Get out your check book. LOL. I'm in love with a boy who is far away from me. I am in Australia, and he lives in Scotland. We met on a dating website, became friends on Facebook, had long chats on Whatsapp, he proposed to me on Skype, and now we've had two months of relationship through Viber. My beloved and favorite Dad, “I need your blessing, good wishes, and a really big wedding." Lots of love and thanks, Your favorite daughter, Lilly

Dad's Reply.... also by texting...
My Dear Lilly: Like Wow! Really? Cool! Whatever... I suggest you two get married on Twitter, have fun on Tango, buy your kids on Amazon, and pay for it all through Paypal. And when you get fed up with this new husband, sell him on Ebay. L.O.L. (lots of love), Daddy
TEXTING Communication in Today’s Generation br b... (show quote)

And on what program will it be consummated? Will they text each other about how great it was?

I shoot with a Canon 70d with 70-200mm 2.8 Sigma lens. This is my main lens that I use for Basketball. I am very pleased with the pictures that it produces. However I added this teleconverter for Baseball and Soccer shots however they don't seem to be as sharp. Is there a setting that I need to tweak when I use the teleconverter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm all Sigma..theirSD14 camera, 120-300mm telefoto 24-70m a few more lens and a 1.4 and a 2X Sigma converter Do mostly wildlife to include Gbears wolves and Elk. Didn't notice any loss of sharpness with the1.4 TC. The 2X was ok on close tup shots of deer and dogs but for the shy animals that kept their distance, forget it. Too much sharpness lost not to mention f stops.
