Lately I open PSE 12 and say 4 photos. it use to open all 4 and they would be at the top of the screen with the name of each one. Now every time I open 2 or more photos they all come up in their own window for no apparent reason that I can find. If I go to bottom of screen an click on Layout I can select default and they all appear at top of screen as before. But once I open more file in goes back to individual windows. I can't find in the preferences where I can select how to open each file as a default along the top of screen. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Hal

[quote=Bob Yankle]It turns out he probably only needed a black frame to surround some of his photos for display. That's a whole different lesson, but this will come in handy for somone I'm fairly sure.

Thank You Bob :) :) this is just what I was looking for, a detailed way to do this with examples !!
Outstanding Help I have been using Layers an started using Masks also and am having a great time
with my photos when I get one I like I will post it here using your method. Thanks Again!

Yes it does, it does it automatically, if you've set up a certain button for your BBF, than it will work with the same button on the grip as well.

speters: Thank You for your direct answer, I never had a Grip before so I wasn't sure if I would have to do a different setup in the menu. Now I know I won't have to worry about it. One question since you already know about the grip, how do you get the battery door off the camera without any damage to cover or camera?

There are no separate settings when using a grip. The grip settings should emulate the same settings as on the camera. Since you seem to already have the grip couldn't you have tested this yourself in less time than it took to post your question?

Sorry I did not mention that I am waiting for it to get here. I did not mention it is a Neewer brand after market but has all the same buttons. All the reviews from people who have bought it said it works great they love it. Can't wait til it gets here. GAS GAS & more GAS LOL thanks for the input!

I recently purchased a battery grip for my canon t41, it has all the same functions on the grip as on the camera but I was wondering since I have been using BBF setup through the menu I am using the inner most button for my BBF, Will the same button on the Grip also work as if it was as I have it set up now on the camera? Or will I have to go through another setup to be able to use it with grip? Thanks much :)

I found the thread that I was remembering.

Thank you jethro for the link but I found the problem here it is:
Hello All: I found out why my flash an external flash would not work with the new remote I bought. Selecting the timing for the remote in the menu or by selecting the multiple photo button on the wheel comes up with 6 different settings. 1st is single 2nd is Multiple (3rd is the 10 sec., timer/Remote) that fixed it! Even if you have BBF turned on it works and if your using Live View works just as good. Thanks to all for your suggestions and tips, from reading from the OP down it made me think about what the manual said. I was reading the wrong part of the remote settings so I had it set wrong. For those of you who have had this problem the 3rd setting will work-if you have a Canon camera. What a day this has been, I went thru
3 sets of batteries for the flash and 2 batteries for the camera. I gonna need more batteries LOL Thanks to all You made me think harder!! My thanks to Leitz for letting me know I had posted in the wrong post, UHH members are here to help thanks alot both for your patience and help. problem Solved.

I shoot Nikon, also, but do you have the on camera flash set to master?

Yes the on camera flash has to be up so the flash can be set to EASY WIRELESS and also on channel 1 as is the speedlight on channel 1 so they should both go off with the canon wireless remote, but they don't. And the remote is Brand new. If I trip the shutter from the camera both flashes go off at 2 sec. perfectly. The Remote is giving
me the finger- I am not happy. So I put it all down an walked away. Canon will hear from me tomorrow about my problem. Thanks for the tip.

I use a Nikon, but seem to remember a thread about a similar situation and that the answer was that there was something in the main menu that needs to be set so that when you used the 2 second delay that the remote didn't cause the shutter button to try and reset the focus.

Thanks for the tip, I did a search at the top of window on uhh for Remote shooting
unfortunately nothing I found will help. Calling canon tomorrow morning 1st thing.
But thanks for the help! :) :)

I have a canon T4i, canon speedlight 420EX-on tripod. Flash is set to A 1 as Slave
manual says to go to menu and select 2 Sec. timer, also to set up flash as EasyWireless on # 1. All done and the remote should when pressed an pointed at
camera focus and take the photo in 2 sec., which the remote is set to. This is a brand new canon remote and -Nothing Happens- I have been thru the manual several times an reset the setting several times and no GO. I also use BBF an was using it in LiveView at the time but see no reason why it is not working. If I press the BBF to
focus and then try the remote-Nothing. If I focus and press the shutter button manually both internal flash an the 420EX on slave about 10 feet away pointed at camera go off together in 2 sec. I am at my wits end an almost ready to toss them in
garbage. Any and all Help would be greatly appreciated.
