To the best of my knowledge, the answer to your original question is "no". I do not believe the grid line brightness is adjustable.

Looks good! (both photos and subject LOL). I used light tents extensively back in my commercial photography days (1980s) to photograph jewelry and other shiny objects. Always liked the results.

Nate, Lightroom editing is 'non-destructive' so you should be able to undo anything you did there. I don't know about Silver Effects however.
