Thanks for supporting me. Now that I have retired, I might actually get to spend some time here. Sharing with other photographers seems like a good idea to me. I really didn't think four lenses was a lot, considering my "camera bag". I'm just getting rid of what I have replaced and really no longer have a use for. In the case of the 70-200, the one I have has the VR, as opposed to the VRII (or whatever), it is NOT an N, but it does have AF hold buttons on the barrel. It really annoys me that Nikon removed them from the N lens. I do lots of sports photography and I really depend upon those buttons. I have voiced my opinion with Nikon, but I guess it comes down to cost! (Like the lens wouldn't sell if it cost a few dollars more with the buttons!) I am finally convinced that the N lens would be a good purchase for me and I think the new group focusing feature of the D4s might solve my problem of giving up those buttons. Again, thanks for the support!

There are some features in Nikon cameras that Canon owners wished they had. And vice-versa. There are some superb lenses in both system and most have the hope that someday, Nikon and Canon lenses will fit either! I'm a Nikon aficionado, and I can pick up many Nikon bodies and understand the controls quickly. The same can be said for the Canon folks. The two brands will continue to "one-up" each other which, I think, is good for the market and good for us as photographers. Whichever system you choose, read and SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT. Some folks are natural at photography ( I really envy them!) and the rest of us have to keep trying. I've been involved in photography for 48 years, and I continue to be truly amazed at what they come up with next! As others have said, buy what you are comfortable with and can afford and SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT!!!

Well, that was NOT why I joined, but since I saw the category, why not. I'd rather a photographer get my equipment at a discount than trade it into a dealer! Is that wrong?

I have the following up for grabs:

Nikon 10.5mm f2.8G ED DX Fisheye -- I no longer shoot the DX format, I just don't need this one anymore.

Nikon 85mm f1.8D -- I purchased the 1.4 G to replace this one.

Nikon 35-70 f2.8D - Macro Zoom -- Replaced by the 24-70.

Nikon 24-120 f3.5 -5.6D IF (NOT VR) -- Just don't use anymore, Original Version.

Nikon 70-200 f2.8G VR -- currently using, but planning on upgrading to the current N version.

All of my gear is in excellent condition, and all lenses were used with a filter at all times (except the 10.5). I am not a dealer and only sell my own used equipment. I normally have the box and the paperwork.

I will except the first reasonable offer made.

Please contact me here or at cjc2photo@gmail.com. I can accept credit cards and must collect tax if picked up or shipped to PA.

I have some older stuff like a D2h and F5 plus other Nikon gear

Thanks

I have a very similar Synology system, a 213+ I believe, with two Seagate 4TB NAS-specific drives in a Raid 1 array. I couldn't be happier with this setup and I agree with everything said in the mentioned review. In addition, I use both PC, MAC, Andriod and IOS devices. One of the best features of this setup is the ability to store files from any source and access them from another without any fuss. Store from a PC and access from a MAC, or the reverse. Wonderful. Being somewhat on the geekie side, I have set up larger Synology systems for others with similar results. I really love the Synology hardware and the DSM software. I also have a Netgear NAS at home which has some movies stored on it. Since I put the Synology in service, about a year ago, I haven't used the Netgear that much. I have an in-house 1GB wired network and a relatively new Netgear AC-1900 router which provides the latest, fastest, WiFi to the house.

I recently bought a Epson R3000 (to replace an Epson 4000 with a clogged head) and so far, about 30 days, I'm very happy with it
