I won't be giving up my Lightroom because I use the number/color tags to sort thru 1000+ images very quickly for my job but I do like it so far. One other thing I don't see yet is an ability to clone or heal like LR has. Much to learn.

Also wondering if there's an ability to switch from select to deselect with a simple "x" as I can do in PS. Haven't found it yet.

Congrats! Enjoy! Do the modules (adjust, denoise, impression, textures, etc.) integrate with the new Studio?

Well, I did it. Pulled the trigger and got everything Topaz offers that I didn't already have for $99. So far so good. Have much to learn.

Thanks for the link. I didn't see it! Where did you see that the "Studio" will host all of the individual modules? I missed that as well. I also have On1, but I really like it, so I will probably hold off and wait a while. I am looking forward to the results of your research. Please post when you have completed your research.

It's just above the 10 free adjustments. Here's the part about the plug-ins:

"Host Topaz Plugins
Topaz Studio works as a host for all of your Topaz Plugins, that means no more reliance on photoshop, Lightroom, or other paid image editors as a host for your favorite Topaz products.

I will let you know. Hopefully by the end of this holiday weekend.

I'm kind of interested and there is quite a bit of info and a free download if you scroll down the page you'll see a link that will take you here where you'll find lots of info: http://web.topazlabs.com/?utm_source=Topaz+Updates&utm_campaign=25778463ae-Topaz+Studio+Announcement&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_5e4dd8652a-25778463ae-82826473&mc_cid=25778463ae&mc_eid=575d8be1ea

It will host all Topaz adjustments you've already purchased. I have most if not all. It does handle raw images. I'm going to ponder a bit more but will probably pull the trigger by the 30th.

I also have On1 Raw processor but that hasn't won my heart yet and probably won't so I will pause to think about this. I have a lot more research to do, esp about what free and what's $70 til the 30th, esp when I already have most or all of the plug-ins.

Thank you all for your input. Before I read your wisdom I went ahead and started working on the wedding on my laptop where the selected images were already uploaded to LR. I will, however, save this info for future use. Much as I use and love LR it can be a royal PIA at times!!

I hate arguing with Lightroom too. I lose those arguments.
Good luck with your problem.
I know this post didn't help, but I do empathize.

I'm trying to add images to LR but it keeps telling me they are already there. They are NOT! I even removed images from LR that were of the same subject and have closed and re-opened LR several times to no avail. I've unchecked the "duplicates" box AND I've tried telling it to make a Second copy to another location. Nothing works. I guess I'll have to do this whole wedding album from my laptop unless someone has a solution. I hate arguing with LR. It's a lose-lose situation! I will appreciate any advice offered.

Thanks!

I've had two D5100's, two D7100's, a D750 and now a D500 - all heavily used with only a battery door knocked off and easily fixed in more than 8 years of use. I don't know what to tell you other than I think someone dropped your camera in the cabin and it wasn't fixed correctly the first time. Sorry for your troubles. Sounds exasperating!

That depends on its manufacture date, best to check and see if it has the latest firmware.

Ok, thanks. Since it was out of stock when I ordered it and BH shipped it the day it came back in stock I assume - or rather, HOPE! that it is newborn baby fresh (-: but I'll check.

You will need to update the cameras firmware before it will work.

Not to highjack this post but I just got my D500 yesterday - brand new. Would I still need to update my firmware, MT Shooter? I had read in the reviews that Snapbridge wouldn't work with iPhones but knew that wasn't my priority in buying this camera but it would be nice. I'm hoping that a year after this camera came out that this issue would be resolved.

To the OP - I read in Darrell Young's book that you must be very precise in setting up the wifi capabilities of the D500 or it won't work.

I used my D500 yesterday to take pictures of my very active grandson in my son's dark apartment without flash and I'm delighted with the high ISO results.

Wow, much to ponder here. I have two D7100's and two D5100's and HAD a D750 for about 9 months when it was recently stolen at a school event I was shooting so I've been pondering whether to get another D750 (IF I can find another one at the $1400 price I bought my first refurbished at). I've also been looking at the D500 and now here's the D7500. Based on the youtube video shared above I probably don't want the D7500 because I'm really not interested in a "dumbed down" version as he puts it. I should probably save my pennies a little longer and either get another D750 or the D500. I love action, be it birds in flight, sports or my grandson, so I'm probably leaning towards the D500. Thanks for everyone's input. As soon as Nikon sent me the notice I came straight here to search for discussion of the D7500.

Point of curiosity.
It is an Adobe program, why didn't you call their support people instead of Microsoft?

As I mentioned further up in the thread his computer was repaired by Microsoft back in Sept and he has a year long service contract with them.

He's already been on the phone with Microsoft for quite a while when I got that post so no. Sorry.

I guess I should have waited a bit longer to reply. It's working again. I asked my s/o what they did that worked and he said they created a new catalog. They're supposed to send an email explaining that in more detail but that's all I have now. I'll copy and paste the explanation if they send it. Thanks again!
