A few years back I took a trip on the Sunset Limited from San Antonio
to LA. took pics from the observation car as well as pics from my
room with out any problems.

Watch your shutter speed.

About a year and a half ago I attended a talk by one of two photographers
(one at each end of the arena) that are hired to be the official photographers
of the Houston Rodeo. He didn't give any lens recommendations, but he did make
the following observations.

The lighting in the arena is not the best.
Light colors photograph best.

If you are not right on top of the action, I would recommend the longer lens.

VW bugs were fun for reverse.
Push DOWN on the stick, but I can't remember if it was left-fwd or left-back.

My '73 Opel Manta Rally was <interlocked> left and fwd. Boy do I miss that car!

Down and right back if I remember correctly from my '67 bug.

I had to special order my truck (2005) to get the optional 6 speed
manual transmission. It's not even available on the new models.

I have an older 28-200 f3.5-6.0 that I use on my D7200 as a carry around.
I works well for me. I'm 73 yrs. old and not in the best of health.

I also have a 18-300 f3.5-6.5 that normally I use on a D500 that also works
well on the D7200, although is a bit heavier.

A recent thread on the 18-300.
I like mine.

I got this lens about two years ago, mostly for convenience. It spends most of it's time
on a D500. I find that it works best in the 30-35mm to around 270-275mm range.
What distortion there has been, I have been able to correct in post.

Need some feedback on this. D7500 had 20 Megapixels, the D7200 has 24. I could care less for video.
Plus there is no vertical extra battery grip for the D7500.
Comments? Should i get the D7200 or the D7500.
My D7100 battery grip will fit the D7200.
Or should i just save $$$ & keep my D7100??

I have a D7200 and a D500. My personal opinion would be to save your money
for the D500 and use the D7100 as backup.

I use mine on a D7200 or D500. Depending on how much move you want, you may
want to use an ISO high enough to stop action.

Don't know about 14 but my D7200 works with 15.
Best option, try it. You can always get the new version.

I've had good results with Red River papers in my PRO-100.

Order the trial packs and try them.

I've used the 18-300 and the 200-500 on my D500.

Great combinations.

This is what works for me.

I shoot RAW + JPG. I use the JPG files for a quick look much like making
contact prints like in the film day.

Any PP is done from the raw files. Prints made from TIFF files.

Archive the RAW to external drives (cloud). I can always make JPG files.

This may or may not work for you or others.
