Thank you so much!

My comments washed away in the edit so here goes again - really lovely rendition here, and great illustration of actively using detailed suggestions to help create a new version of an image that is way more appealing than the first one. This one is so much stronger - the great use of the repeating verticals and arches, the elimination of the condo buildings, the expansion of the dramatic sky. The whole image is in fine balance. You've really brought it to life, a real pleasure to study in detail.

Sorry JoBear and everyone else.
I deleted the second image posted in this thread and any posts referencing it.
The rules of the critique section are one post per thread and no reworking.
Jo please post the second photo again as a new thread.
It was exactly the crop I was going to suggest afetr seeing the first thread, and the other comments on it were very relevant. It seems we all basically saw it very similarly.

I agree on the condos, they don't quite fit. Did get a few of top o bridge but thought it distracted from the flow of the bridge across the inlet-which is the part that interested me.
Thanks for the comments!

The slope of the bridge and the arches are pleasing to follow into the scene. I like all the verticals of the pilings as a nice counterpoint and balance. The muted colors seem appropriate for the wet side in winter :)

Are you able to get more of the top of the bridge? I'd be interested in a composition with the curves going up further. (the industrial building and materials on left are interesting, but those condos are so darned unappealing in their cookie cutter architecture!)

Really nice work on these. Looks like you had decent light. I have the same 6d and lens and am looking at monopods (already have tripod)-what do you use or recommend? Any resistance from zoo personnel?
Also I would like to be able to pan with it on the ground for video with a different lens. I see a couple that have a "ball joint" and 3 small support legs that flip down. Anyone have any experience with these?
