I spent about 3 productive hours at a watering hole in southern Oregon this last summer called Cabin Lake. It is a dry lake bed just north of Fort Rock and the birding was great! Birds of different species came in waves. There were Clark's Nutcrackers, Pinyon Jays, Northern Flickers, Red Crossbills and House Finches for a start. Here are some of what I saw in those 3 hours.

One of the best shots of Monument Valley I have ever seen...an area I love!

I like it! I took almost the same angle shot a year ago. Might have to play with it now! Good work!

The Anhinga Trail outside of Homestead is wonderful. Depending on time of winter, you can even see young Anhingas on the nests being fed. Also herons and other wading birds along the boardwalks. Shark Valley is really good for Wood Storks, Roseated Spoonbills and Anhingas. Go to visitors center right on the highway first. They put me on to a boardwalk where I got to photograph a lazy coiled up Cottonmouth Water Moccasin in the wild. Ding Darling is good but lots of people on that little island.

Love Alabama Hills! You should be able to find a Chuck Walla or two there to go with your Wabbit! I'd say a little too small on the watermark but too big is worse.

Hotta Deena Sotta Molle Cazaam! Crimani Italis, I'm Kapoot and going to bed. Maybe not the most famous of expressions but my dad used them all the time and I love them! And he was a Yankee Nebraska farmer!

Nice images of a very difficult subject to shoot! I have seen 3 different kinds of Kingfishers and all 3 have always been my worst nightmare to photograph!

If you are looking for wildlife, check out the Gold Beach area of the Redwoods. It is neat to see and photograph the Roosevelt Elk on the beach and in the forest clearings in the area.

It's actually mostly in CA but depending on when you go Death Valley is awesome. But not June-Sep.

Definitely 395 if you have the time. Check out the Mt. Whitney Portal Road and Alabama Hills at Lone Pine. From Lone Pine, you can go through Death Valley to LV. Just driving through Death Valley is an experience even if it is too hot to do anything else.

I've been to both and I would definitely recommend including White Pockets. Stunning landscapes!

The aquarium in Newport has a great area for birds like Puffins, Murres, Oyster Catchers, etc. You can see the talented Puffins swimming under water.

If you like photographing plants and flowers, check out the darlingtonia growing in the same area where the dunes are located. They are in a small park on the east side of 101 as I recall. Good tide pooling in the area also.

Not sure what you are doing at Coyote Buttes but it is probably my favorite area of the world! White Pockets, Cottonwood Cove and Tepees and Buckskin Gulch are all wonderful. The Paria River up to Kodachrome is great. We've tried for The Wave but never been successful. You need 4X4 travel equipment for a lot of the best scenery, however.
