One Watering Hole in Oregon

I spent about 3 productive hours at a watering hole in southern Oregon this last summer called Cabin Lake. It is a dry lake bed just north of Fort Rock and the birding was great! Birds of different species came in waves. There were Clark's Nutcrackers, Pinyon Jays, Northern Flickers, Red Crossbills and House Finches for a start. Here are some of what I saw in those 3 hours.

Nice series of photos. Getting close to living on the road ourselves.

Really nice captures and such variety. Fun to see birds that we don't have here in Georgia. What an adventure y'all are on. Do keep posting.

Very nice shots, backroader! I've never seen any of these birds except the house finch! Guess they're only up there in Oregon!
