Beautiful images. I love the last one with the trees reflecting in the water and the loon.

The expression "be careful what you wish for" never rang more true than when we went to photograph Herbert Lake at first light. We arrived an hour too early because Alberta isn't on our DST. We waited in the dark taking occasional shots waiting for the big burst of morning sun on the peaks. Well, that didn't happen--not that day anyway. Mist and low clouds hung around well past sunrise. But the resulting images are worth more to me than anything I could have asked for. And, as we stood in the dark looking through the mist, we heard the lone voice of a loon as it skimmed across the lake, barely discernible to our eyes. When we returned many days later under cloudless skies, the magic of the moment was gone.

Beautiful flowers. I prefer the second as the center of the two white flowers are lit better, but both are very nice.

Very nice series. I really love the bird and I can almost hear the water rushing down the hillside.

Very nice, Pierre. I especially like the last one of the family.

Sandra and I spent a most pleasant afternoon earlier this week at an Osprey nest, with three fine photographers from Cornwall, Ontario.
We watched young Osprey taking flight lessons -- trying to gain the skill, and perhaps courage, to get into the air.
Mom was the main instructor, but Dad brought in fish to snack on.
Here is some of that action.

I enjoy seeing a subject done in a way I've never seen before and for me #1 certainly is that! -- Besides being nice and sharp, the lighting is absolutely beautiful making for a "mantis portrait." Very nice work!

Stunning. I love the puffins and the Icelandic horses are really something to see. Beautiful scenery, too.

I would tend to agree but I haven't been to the one in Boston. However, it is a larger city, so maybe the resources are there for a better one.

I recently visited the one in Baltimore and that was quite good as well.

Thanks for posting this. I lived in Iceland for two years in the late 1960's and it is one of my most favorite places to visit. I hope someday to get back there with all my camera equipment. I only had a P&S back then.

Nice. Also try the free trial download of the topaz s/w. I have both and tend to use the Topaz more often than Nik. Nik's Viveza, though, is super for adjusting color shifts, etc.

Despite an injured foot, I managed to walk the entire length of the Seaport and took a great many pictures. These are some of them. As always, comments and critiques are welcome.

All were taken with the Sigma 10-20 mm lens mounted on my Nikon D7100. Most were with an f-stop of f/5.6, ISO 100 and 1/320th to 1/200th of a sec. All were handheld. You have to love this lens!
