First I got the Lowepro lens case that was 13 X 32 cm. It was a perfect fit for just the lens. Then I decided that I would like to carry it with the camera attached, so I checked at a local camera store and came up with the Think Tank Streetwalker backpack. That works great with my D7200 and 200-500 attached. One other thing that I did was get the screw on lens hood from Fittest so that I didn’t have to reverse the lens hood and mess around each time I took the camera out of the bag. This combination fits perfectly in the bag without removing the lens hood. I am very happy with this setup.
Wonderful shot, BamaTexan!!
Thanks for sharing, Jim! I am from the states and we don’t have many of these birds. This year I do have a red-breasted nuthatch visiting our feeders.
I agree with the observations above. I think the first one is a juvenile spotted towhee and the second one definitely looks like a song sparrow. The songs sparrows in the West seem darker than the eastern song sparrows from my experience.
An avocet is visiting a local wetlands near me in Ohio. Here is a reflection photo and an in flight photo.
Thanks to all who have looked and commented!
The other day while working outside, I noticed this hummingbird clearwing moth around the butterfly bush. I got my camera and was lucky enough that it stayed around for a few minutes.

I believe part of the Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway mentioned above is also called Iron Mountain Road. If I remember correctly, there are three tunnels through which you can see Mount Rushmore.

I love all of these, but especially the last one where the one is just peeking out of its burrow! Nicely done!
We saw these at the Montezuma NWR in northern New York.
Very nice set! Excellent assortment of wildlife.
If he has full frame lenses, I think that he would love it. I do mine! If he has DX lenses, I think he should consider the D500, D7500, or the D7200. These he would need to research for his needs, but I really like my D7200, which I purchased before the D500 came out.
Great image of a beautiful duck!!
