Sorry for the lack of information. We live in the US, own Nikon equipment most several years old. I never thought of home owners insurance covering photography equipment when traveling to foreign country, will certainly check. Not sure I will be able to identify year of purchase or price, will require a little searching of files, hopefully with some success. Thanks for the response, will now start to work. Doug

Thanks to all, I appreciate all feedback. With all of my lens, I have only used the lens hood; I dropped my camera once the lens hood cracked but saved the camera, would I be lucky again, not likely. And as one of you mentioned, this makes using a polarizer bothersome but doable. With this new 80-400 lens, handling a polarizer with the lens hood is impossible. Thanks again, Doug

Just purchased new Nikon 80-400 lens along with two filters, Promaster protection and CPL. The filters are very thin, the filter almost disappears when screwed onto the lens. I become concerned if filter is tightened very little of the filter is extended beyond the end of the lens to hold for removal. I am confident others have experienced the same problem, any ideas?

I prefer BBF however, with my Nikon 7200, it takes some time for the camera to allow changing settings after taking one picture. When I return to the shutter trigger, this is not a problem. As every comment tends to favor BBF, I begin to wonder if this is a problem with how I set it up or with the camera? Doug

Considering this, however large cards become expensive. Storage units I have found are also very expensive, cards may likely be best. Thanks, Doug

Thanks for all of the help. After receiving the recommendations for Dell, I have ordered a Dell U2415 24" Widescreen LEC Backlit IPS Monitor. As suggested, I have ordered one, will wait to see if I really need the second one. This will also allow me to check the first one out before ordering. Thanks for help, I feel much more comfortable. Very helpful. I found this one earlier was not sure if satisfactory for photographery. If so, nice savings, having been looking at around $500 for two. Doug
