One of my go to lenses was the 300 f2.8, version II. What a wonderful lens! Alas, sold it when I sold all my Nikon gear and went back to Canon. Sorry Scott, I would never compare the quality of this lens to the 300 f4. The f4 is a nice one, but not even close to the 2.8. However, just my most humble opinion on this matter. lol

From what I hear from others who have gone to Alaska, you are going to need this one.

Just returned and wish I had an 800mm! Just saying! However, you are correct in that I shot a lot with my 14-24 and 70-200. The vista was awesome!

I don't know the seller, but I always find it amazing for some to chime in and say what it is worth, out of production, cheap, plastic, etc. This happens time and time again on this site and I don't understand why. I am on several other sites as well and just don't see this.
As a consumer, I do my own research when purchasing a product. If still not sure, I ask those who are qualified to chime in, but never on the ad of the seller. Just my 2 cents! Note: I have bought and sold on this site and never once have been sold a product I was not happy with.
So please, let's remember, one of us could be on the receiving end of some of these statements when we have something to sell and I know I would not like it. Just saying!

Mine was $1,550, and my son's was $1,405. Asus Z70 boards, 32GB memory M.2 C drives and 4TB D drives, Core i7 6700k. Big cases.

You are right there with me Jerry! With the Asus Z70 board, 32GB memory, M.2 drive and 500 SSD drive with the i7 6700 unlocked version with big case, I was at $1456. Oh, I had a water cooler and a 6GB graphics card and a 750 PS in that price as well. Running 6 fans!
8 second boot time and this baby keeps up with my Mac as well.

I switched from Windows to Apple and never looked back for speed and reliability.

I run both and have no problems with either. However, I did my own build on the windows machine and it is fast!

[quote=dljen]The draft-dodger in chief is beginning with the minorities. What a wimp Trump is.[/quote

I see you still have diarrhea of the mouth! First off, prove he was a draft dodger; second, the military has enough to deal with without the crap that Obama threw at them when he decided freaks should be in the military as well. Third, in case you missed it, they want to have their so called operations paid for by the military. Not going to happen! Trump is a pretty good size fellow and might just kick your ass wimp!
And lastly, your so called savior of the world was not in the service as well as Clinton, so your point?

The main problem with any healthcare bill that congress comes up with is that if any part of it is managed by the government, it will be unConstitutional.
That is the whole objection the true conservatives have, and why they will not vote for any bill that does not make it fully controlled by the public sector.
Total repeal is the only option that all of them agree on. But the moderates will not vote on it without a replacement fearing retribution from their constituency.

Obama knew that once a gift has been given that creates dependency, it would be hard to take it away.

The politicians have opened up a can of worms and the free loaders are all in! These are the same people who are on 2nd and 3rd generation of welfare. The people who really need our help, can't get it and the ones who are too lazy to work, milk the system for all it's worth! As I have said before, there is nothing in the constitution that guarantees anyone health care! If anyone thinks the debt can't get worse, wait till the politicians get their little back door deals with hospital corporations, medical industry and the like! Repeal OBC and get out of the health care business. If they can't solve the bickering in Washington, we need to vote them all out! The Rino's need to be the first to go in all parties!

You are correct, and the cause for this malaise is our liberal education system that has been turning out HS graduates that enter college needing remedial courses for years.

If these so called educators and administrators in our public school systems and universities would put their silly ideologies and politically correct nonsense aside and actually start educating like I received in the 1950's these results, and our populace would be on par intellectually, if not exceeding any anybody in the world.

All one needs do is watch Waters World on the O'Reilly Factor when he interviews college students with basic questions. Dumb and dumber for sure! It would be hilarious, if it wasn't so sad.

I fully agree! Had a great education back in the day! The kids in college today are scary with their answers, or lack of, on segments like Waters World, etc. I question what they are actually teaching these kids today? Who knows, but it is getting worse and I see no relief in sight! Stupid is as stupid does!

I like my Doctor, I kept my Doctor. I like my plan, I kept my plan.

I am glad that worked out for you! Unfortunately, many were not so lucky! OBC, whether you believe it or not, is failing and failing miserably. I am also not in favor of the other plans that have been tossed around either. The government should not be in the health care business, period! Insurance worked fine before Obama jumped in and decided it was time to really raise the national debt and pass OBC. Hmm, how's that working out for most? Not well.
What we do need is the ability to buy insurance across state lines! All insurance! Let the free market work, not cram a health care down our throats that the government has anything to do with!

Curious how the OP can get such an extensive quote and not know the author. Or, apparently, try to find out. Lack of intellectual curiosity? Or just sloppiness.

Try Evan Sayet.

And I'm not bothered by Donald Trump's lack of decorum. I'm bothered by his lack of intelligence, consistency, contemplation, integrity, reliability, and ability to recognize the truth.

And I'm bothered by his kiss-ass collusion with Russia to undermine the election.

Well, don't rack your brain too hard on that! The reason I posted the article in the first place was "it was right on the mark"! Yes, I know, the truth sometimes hurts, but in the end, you will see the light!
Funny, on that second line, I thought you were talking about Obama! You just left out, hated this country, loved muslims, lied through his teeth, was attempting to destroy America and if Clinton had gotten in, would most likely have gotten his wish.
And then you bring up Russia! Is that all the left has? And yet you are silent when it came to Clinton and the deal with the uranium and Obama leaning over saying to a Russian that after the election I will have ???? who knows what. I could go on and on, but I know you had no problems with these since it would have gone against your leftist agenda. Give me a break!

Just built a new PC from case up; running Win 10 with i7 unclocked, 32GB RAM, Samsung M.2 drive, 500GB SSD, Asus graphic card and I am more than pleased with this system and how fast it processes photos in Lightroom, etc.
I also run a MacBook Pro that is just about as fast. lol
