I got Two thumbs up........dude!!!
Thank you. Jim
Glowing daisies
I was hoping he wouldn't attack me. He took off finally and flew about a foot off my pool. His reflection was fantastic but I was too mesmerized to shoot another picture.
Rivernan, thank you. Eastern PA? I grew up in Chester.
Early one morning I saw this fly and tried to get a close up of it. I probably did 8 photos before he woke up, shook his head, and flew away. Generally, people don't like this photo but I love it.
Sleeping fly
I have the same problem with a cat at my bird feeder. Between the cat and the hawk, I don't go through so much bird food. Great image of the Bobcat.
These are gorgeous images of Hummers. Nice going!!
This hawk visits my yard in search of birds for lunch. He let me get to within 10 feet of him.
Swede,
Brent suggested I send some of my Vignette images to your thread. Here goes.
Mont St Michele, Normandy, France
Bryce Canyon, Utah
Stellar Jay, Whitney Portal, Lone Pine, CA
Quail, my backyard
Hummingbird, my backyard
Thanks, I'll do that. Jim
Thank you all for your kind comments. Jim
On these flowers, I played with the color and was surprised at the strong glow in the center of the flower.
Excellent photo!! Isn't it great to have the camera ready when those rare opportunities come along.
Brent, This has been an enjoyable display of some right brained photography/artists. I have played with some things but my favorite effect recently has been vignetting of certain images. Vignetting brings the viewer's eye to the image on center. Some photos can accept this and some can't. I have attached some of my favorites. Jim

Thank you. Yes it is an Ostrich. These photos were taken in my back yard, in San Francisco, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Alaska. These were done in Picasa and I printed them and got three ribbons for them in our local Fair.
