What is interesting in this thread is the original poster has never responded to the ideas presented other than to make a snide comment.

Thank you for a quick response. I was under the naive impression that once you bought something, it was your to keep/use. I guess Adobe has proved otherwise.

just like a car, they get out of date and old, fast also.

When you are trying to install an old program and having a problem, I can certainly understand that. Especially when the current program is $60.00 at B&H. I doubt you will get any support from Adobe with that program. It would really surprise me if you did.

Who cares about these photos? You can see this on any beach. Plus no artistic merit of any kind. Should be removed. A waste of time for this junk.

Does geo tracker record each location where you take a photo?

If you use the original image in another program besides lightroom does the information stay in the metadata or is the geo info then part of lightroom?

So that you are not doing surveillance on the building and thereby set up a terrorism act. DUH! use your common sense.

You did not say in your original post that you had permission for off hours. you just said that you ignore the rules. Now you say you have permission. So now what is it? you just ignore the rules or you have one policemans ok, which I assume is not in writing.

I live very close to a school, and the town here has no-fly zones around all the schools. Fair enough, I understand that. But I do a lot of flying way out of school hours, so I can just ignore that. From what I understand, DJI wouldn't even let me take off...

Laws/Rules are put into place for a purpose. If the town put a rule in place that there is no flying around a school, then you can not just ignore that! If the rule says you can NOT fly around the schools while it is during normal school hours, then you can fly after normal school hours. If it states you can NOT fly around schools then you can not fly at anytime. Rules can not just be ignored because you want to fly.

We often hear that the best camera is the one you have with you. This was proven true recently.

I went to a semi-annual dinner with people from my high school class. At the last minute, I decided to bring my tiny Sony WX9, which easily fits into a pocket. Usually, a friend with a D810 takes lots of beautiful pictures, but I figured I'd get a few shots, too.

As it turned out, the "pro" guy had problems with his D810/flash combo, so he got only four pics, while I got over a dozen. Low tech is better than high tech when the high tech isn't working.

one can never be too safe. Whenever I grab my camera and go out I always grab 2. usually my D7100 and my D200. Sometimes I just leave the extra camera in the bag in the car just in case. When I am on a job, I have the two and my partner has her two. Canon D80 and Canon D50.
