From time to time I shoot friends weddings and other events and I notice that my vertical or portrait shots are not all that vertical while my landscapes only need a slight straightening in post. For those of you who use vertical battery grips, does it help keep things level when shooting fast and other than extra battery life what are other advantages?
Shooting in portrait mode at weddings, when you need to act quickly. Other than that, have not found any other practical use for them to date.
I hope your images help to to ease the weight of your sorrow.
Yes, put photo gear away and start selling toilet paper, hand sanitizer, paper towels, any type of noodles like top ramen, and thermometers assuming you can find them of course. I saw a bottle of Purell on ebay for $90!
You can make a fortune!!
I think when you accumulate a record of repeat business from a lot of referrals and make a profit doing it, I think you can add the "Pro" label to yourself.
Pretty sure HULU offers a 30 day free trial.
Extra memory cards is the way I would suggest. 16GB cards are cheap and should suffice nicely for daily shots.
Picasa is about as simple as you can get. Ditto for Picasa.
I would be selling my gear to pay for my treatments.
Means nothing in my opinion. Just another way to sell tee shirts.
Stopped using it when I could no longer send images directly from Picasa. Am I missing something, or has that function now been disabled?
I am not sure your question is fully answerable. I think of the lost photos of who could arguably be labeled as a amateur photographer - Vivian Maier. To my knowledge she rarely if ever shared her work with anyone. After her death, a bidder won a chest of her work at an auction which contained about 100,000 negatives and hundreds of undeveloped rolls of color film and 8MM film, he decided to make sure the world saw what she captured as a street photographer through her eyes. To me the B&W images I viewed were much more powerful than the few reels of 8MM film but I think I was able to understand what she loved to do. I think that if you can understand what they were doing, both are successful as both photographer and viewer. I do find it amazing that some of her stills now sell for thousands and she would never know how much some of us appreciated her work. My hat is off to the man that paid $380 for a chest of negatives that was destined for the trash heap. Her work is a great time capsule of who we are and were. Although a documentary is advertised on Netflix, I could not find it, but there are several clips including some of her work on youtube.
There are several youtubes that compare Canon batteries to third party offerings. A few of them are pretty informative. I just ordered 2 Wasabi replacement batteries with charger for half the cost of one Sony battery. No personal findings other than cost to date.
I did order a no-name battery a couple of years ago for the Sony for under $10 which is all but gone. It will charge but discharges rapidly. My OEM battery which is over 4 years old still functions and charges well. OEM (Sony) batteries are running $53.95 at B&H while Watson replacements are selling for around $26.95 at B&H.
I have had mixed successes with Canon replacement batteries, but not enough of a difference to go back to OEM IMO.
Of course I had to compare between TOC and the Disturbed version. IMO - the version by disturbed showed greater emotion but I found the TOC version a bit smoother on the ears. I did think the TOC version was a cheesy rip off of the Disturbed style, but performance wise it was outstanding on its own for the vocal quality.
I guess I can label each my co-favorites. lol
I appreciate you sharing one of the greatest tunes ever penned, by two groups of performers that did the writers and performers of the original, justice. Thank you.
Been there, done that. Going smaller and lighter is the key for a happy vacation. Wider, faster lens is the way to go for the caribbean IMO.
Buddy was the best swing drummer IMO. For jazz, I always thought Joe Morello had the best left hand in the business. I miss both of their talents, but I think the technical skills of Morello were phenomenal compared to most.
