My images taken on the D3000 are 2-3 f-stops dimmer than those taken on my FZ1000. 100 f4.0 1600 EC=0. Subject: uniform wall painting.
Is this fatal for the D3000? (We have an emotional relationship. Sob!)

Why do so many of you save as JPEG instead of TIFF?

Limited to family album stuff, instant sharing, no longer an interest inPP.
iPhone now replacing DSL and even compacts. Selling off all photo gear except for a bridge FX1000 which is seeing less and less daylight day by day.
Sad day for me with photography being my main activity since 1947. Yes, that's 70 years. Sigh. . . .

I checked all recent buys of this configuration on eBay and matched the best (lowest) purchase price listed. In short, the best buy listed over the last few months. Other sales were as high as $750.

Panasonic Fz1000 in Video Mode

I'll be video recording our community theater Valentine production. First video recording experience.
I've got the remote mic OK. The FZ1000 does not have a headphone jack but it does have manual audio level control (menu driven) and a visual audio meter.

But It wil entail constantly varying stage lighting, level and color.
Can I get away with using the Intelligent Audio (IA) recording mode?
So far it looks good in rehearsals to my intutored eye.

Caveats???
