Since Lexar dropped out as a supplier of XQD cards the price seems to have gone up. Last November I ordered a Sony Professional XQD G Series 128GB Memory Card that Amazon offered for $139.12 with free two day (Prime) shipping that is still back ordered. It is now listed for $217.84 + 24.95 from a different Amazon Seller. I'm beginning to wonder if Amazon is going to honor the order or keep it on back order indefinitely. B&H offers the Sony card at $189.95 with free expedited shipping.

You might want to contact Amazon directly instead of venting here. Amazon is known to match prices IF you ask them to. Your order locked it (price).

Definitely contact Amazon. That new seller with $25 shipping says get it by January 26.

Rongy and I rarely agree, but today we do. Why post this without having contacted them? I found amazon's customer service to be top notch!

Maybe it is just me, but I spent more time online trying to get to customer service (without success) than I could afford to waste. The frustration of the nested menus that get you back to where you began is far worse than not getting a product at the advertised price. I’ve used Amazon a lot in the past few years, but this isn’t a return and this time I couldn’t get customer service of any variety.

I'm in the same boat. Today, Samys Camera in Pasadena had only 2 256 Gb XQD cards for $400 each. The supply chain has got to catch up to us.

Heck, might be a good time to make some money on my XQD cards since the last one I bought was 128GB and probably all I'll ever need. Ha! Ha! Good investment, who would have thought!

Amazon has awesome customer service. Call them and find out what options they can offer.

I ordered a 135" projection screen from Amazon a couple of years ago, that had to be delivered by freight. My wife stayed home the day it was to be delivered. By mid-afternoon we still hadn't heard from them so I called Amazon to get an updated delivery time. After several minutes of run-around, they dropped my call. I called back and had to start all over again with my inquiry, wasting several minutes. I was placed on hold again, and again my call was dropped. The carrier was not one I had heard of before, but after a few minutes with Google I did find them. I called them directly, and they informed me that they never received the screen. I called Amazon back and told them what the carrier said. After their usual hemming and hawing they agreed that the screen must be lost, and they would replace it. They cancelled the original order, and proceeded to replace it with a new order. The same screen was now 55% more expensive, and Amazon refused to make it right. Needless to say, I never got my 135" screen from them.

Undelivered items at times have strange explanations ... cleaning out my car in late November I found a POBox key... one of the package large boxes... The key was evidently in a two day stack of mail I pitched in the passenger's seat and the key fell between the cushion. ooops the package was there since August...

Did they charge your card yet? I placed an order on June 6, and Amazon said it would be delayed and asked if I wanted to wait. They kept asking, and I kept saying Yes. I received it on December 12th. No one can predict what Amazon will do in your case. Unless you're desperate for that specific card, I'd hang on and see what Amazon does. I wouldn't pay $50 more. As a matter of fact, I've never paid as much as $50 for a memory card. I find that 32GB and 64GB are fine for me.

The best answer has been offered at least twice: contact Amazon. Their customer service is second to none. Time to close this thread.

Maybe it should have been closed one post ago.
